Titan Legion formations come in two types ? core and auxilia. Each core choice
you include in the army list allows you to take two auxilia formations. In addition
to this restriction, a Titan Legion army list must have at least 50% of their points
spent on Legio formations.

Why are both of these limitations neccessary?  Doesn't the "at least 50% of their points
spent on Legio formations" do the job of making sure that the AMTL is all about the Titans?
So why only 2 auxilia per core choice?...was it to limit the number of activations?  If so, wouldn't just raising the 50% minimum higher do the same thing?  Or are large auxilia formations (knights and Russes) deemed to be more desired than the little ones (field guns and AA)?

Sorry, but I wasn't following the development when this bit was done.

Thanks,
Al

It only makes sense to me that a TL force be a combined arms unit and 50% of TBF on Titans works for us ...  An all Titan force on the board vs. a force with no Titans is just "power gaming" and frankly, IMO ... a little silly ... but do what works for you !      :;):

I think you missed his point: AL isn't asking for the removal of the 50% limitation, he's asking for the purpose of the second limitation: "Each core choice you include in the army list allows you to take two auxilia formations" and its potential removal in case of redundancy.

Unfortunately, I don't have the answer. ?:(8:

Understood ... but as I said ... that's the way we do it ... :;):

I'm looking for the "why?"
I assume there was a design decision made.

Yes. I could have 50% of titans supported by 10 formations of hydra (or similar combo). Hide the Hydra in cover for activations, wade into line with titans, then move up hydra to shoot you up.
