word on the street is v2 is right around the corner and dysartes is back with the group actively discussing as well as focusing on v2 debut to public. The WIP v2 is up and pretty darn close to what will hit in vault. Dysartes mentioned that he would [corection] MIGHT red font the changes from WIP v2 to actual v2 in the downloadable word file. Stay tuned for developments on that front. I've started using WIP v2 as it's closer to 'reality' at this point than the v1.1 from my understanding. Timing - sounds like we are within a month (or less) of v2 being updated with the possible red highlighted changes and then going public at that time or shortly after... |

vaudania> Sorry, mate, where are you saying the CLP is missing off? I just took a look at the AMTLv2wip.pdf file, and the Carapace Landing Pad shows up in both the army list (page 2, between the Devotional Bell and "Armageddon" upgrades) and the list of upgrades (section 2.3, page 11). |

In the US Military, CLP is "Cleaner, lubricating, protecting" used for small arms maintenance and I swear that every single time I see the abbreviation I have to stop and think about what it means in this context... |

When I first saw this topic I had to do a double take. My first reaction was "why is someone asking about Connecticut Light & Power?" Then I realized that the topic is CLP, not CL&P, which is my the provides electricity to my house. Kind of like Nealhunt's needing to stop and think what a particular abbreviation means for a given context. ![]() |

Incidentally, anyone have any modelling suggestions other than the original old CLP? Also - do you model just the pad, or the landspeeder as well? |

When you think about it, the old CLP was basically a flat piece of metal, about an inch in length/diameter, with crenalations around the edge. So, I guess if you could find the top of a medieval turret that was about that size, it could work. Whenever I use my CLP, I do use a landspeeder with it also. |

It should be pretty easy to kit-bash, especially for the MkII and MkIII designs where the carapce has a wide flat area anyway. If nothing else, just cut a square of plasticard, glue it on top, and freehand a helipad-style paint job. You might also consider some antennae bits or sensor array. The bunkers from the objectives pack could provide both a pad and a radar dish. If you wanted to get really fancy you could model a speeder (or even two) on flying stands on the titan's base. A long wire could have one up near carapace level as if it were just taking off or coming in for a landing. |

Vaudania - Now I see what you're getting at - good point well made. The CLP should be available for the Reaver and Warlord, but not the Warhounds (as it requires a Carapace Slot). I'll add it forthwith. |

![]() oomph ... so the CLP is available for the reaver too ... oomph (bis) ... I started to built a Reaver with 2 QC ?+ CLP ... then check the list and see there is no CLP for the Reaver so take it off... realize only after CLP miss from the list ... so need now to buy a new reaver to get one with a CLP ;o) and 2 QC my warlord with CLP was built long before ... to vanvlak ... for the CLP I use the old Control Fire Platform (think it is the right name ... but not sure) ... nee now to attach to it a Land Speeder think to of building one from an inverted 25 mm WH40K base with some bitz |
