Yes GW did it: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthrea ... ost7071674 Quote: Here is a list of some big time "rumors" we got before recording last night:
Imperial Knight Titan: 1 kit will make all the versions. Imperial Knight Titan Codex: Three armies in this book. 1st Army: Imperial Knights Army 2nd Army: Mechanicum Army 3rd Army: Freeblades Army (Mercs that can ally) Warhammer 40k 7th Edition (Yes it is called 7th ed) in May. Astra Militarium (Imperial Guard): Stormtroopers (plastic) Bullgryns (old Ogryns) Commissar Squads New Larger Transport Stormtroopers, Commissar Squads, and Bullgryns are Astra Auxilary. These units may be taken as "plug-ins" to other Imperial armies. Catachans and Cadians are covered in the new codex. Catachans are not going to direct only. Orks are in June. |

Ok that's definitely a DC 2 WE in epic IMO. |

Yes, once in a while GW really nails it. This is one of those times. This model is beautiful. I was thinking about an Imperator proxy, but, I've heard this bad boy is 11" tall. |

Someone on this forum made a truescale imperator, that bad boy was the size of a 40k reaver.... |

They look pretty decent. I wonder how many types of knight there'll be, even with FW doing some I doubt they'll do all the types. How tall would a truescale Imperator be again? Wouldn't it be around 12"? One of these could be a base for one, plus a castle on top, ect. |

Borka wrote: Ok that's definitely a DC 2 WE in epic IMO. It looks no bigger than the epic knights in relation to other models though, possibly even slightly smaller in fact. A close translation of the 40k rules would probably give it 2DC 5+ Reinforced armour, Thick Rear Armour and an Invulnerable Save for the shield. I'm glad it kept design with the battlecannon, but making it a rapid firing 2 shot one makes it more reasonable firepower for it's size. Shame there's no power fist for the Errant, would have thought they could have squeezed on in the kit for old times sake. edited to add: reading through the thread others have been estimating how big it is and by comparison with other models it's only actually around 6-7" tall. That sounds too small to even be a truescale Warlord titan proxy? |

No Thick Rear Armour. This seems to be reserved for units which have at least Front/Side armour of 14 and Rear armour of 13. Imperial Knight Paladin Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight War Engine 20cm 5+ 4+ 4+ Weapon Range Firepower Notes Rapid-Fire Battle Cannon 75cm 2 x AP4+/AT4+ - 2 x Heavy Stubber 30cm AP6+ - Reaper Chainsword (base contact) Assault Weapon Extra Attack (+1) Titan-killer (1) Damage Capacity 2. Critical Hit Effect: The Knight's leg is blown off. The Knight is destroyed, and any units in base contact of the model suffer a hit on a D6 roll of 6. Notes: Knight Shield, Reinforced Armour, Walker. Imperial Knight Errant Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight War Engine 20cm 5+ 4+ 5+ Weapon Range Firepower Notes Thermal Cannon 30cm MW4+ - and (15cm) Small Arms Macro-weapon Heavy Stubber 30cm AP6+ - Reaper Chainsword (base contact) Assault Weapon Extra Attack (+1) Titan-killer (1) Damage Capacity 2. I think 25cm over 20cm, probably. Escalation puts Super Heavy Walkers as being able to move 12 inches in the normal movement phase and have no other penalty, including being able to shoot normally, run another d6, or assault another upto 12 inches. 40k Vehicles that are not fast can move up to 12, but don't get to assault and shoot at massive penalty, or move only 6 more inches instead of shooting. Fast vehicles can move up to 12 inches instead of 6 in the shooting phase (or more if skimmers). So Super Heavy Walkers are basically moving as fast or faster than normal vehicles, but not as fast as Fast vehicles. I'd say that ends up being 25cm over 20cm. |

Hi! It seems that GW has this strange notion that most people want to play epic scale with 40k minis. Given the prices at this scale, I'll stick with the smaller scale. ![]() Primarch |

The red Knight looks particularly good. There's some background information too on the Knights, their connections with the Ad-Mech and background for particular knight houses. Distinctly thinking that's too big to be of use to be an Epic titan... |
