1) How many blast markers does it take to suppress the Baron? All knights take 2 BMs to be suppressed, does the Baron's 2 DC buff him up to 4 BMs for suppression?
2) Why can't I take a third Castellan or Crusader? Formations of 2 are crazy easy to suppress or break.

1) Yes indeed.
2) For that exact reason, i.e. to make them easy to suppress and break (bearing in mind they have a better save than the other knights). There were also some concerns about having 6 BP MW as compared to just 4 BP MW. Having said all this, it's very easy to screen them using other knights - WEs block line of sight and custodians tend to stay in the back so you can do some crafty moves, moving the custodians to a shooting position, then retaining other knights to block LOS.
