The AMTL and Skitarii lists are in the same PDF

Changes:
Demi-century reduced to 250 points
Sagitarii reduced to 275 points
Minorus Company reduced to two units for 300 points
Minorus upgrade reduced to 125 points
Support Missile reduced to 50 points
Skitarii Allies returned to 33%

Although there have been far more changes than this since 2.01, they are noted in the changelog and are already with the respective test list threads.

With this update, I'd like to move the skitarii list out of experimental status. I don't see there being major shifts in the list or formation structure at this point or major re-stating of units.

Future plans: I'd like to see about adding in additional Majoris weapons choices and move to a mechanicus Cataphracii list.

It's been a little over a month since we released the new version of the Skitarii has anyone had a chance to get any games in with it despite the holiday craziness?

I know I haven't been able to get any games in for several reason. But I have decided a while back to pull out of the AM development. The lists just have taken courses that I don't agree with or understand. So I'll start back at the AM Force when its all done and said I think.

Good Luck!

Managed to put together a workable 4000 point list with the new experimental rule set. Looking for some opponents to test it against. Just dug all my ad mech stuff out of storage so its been a while. I'll have to agree with the previous post in regards to some of the changes. Namely the core choice change means that to get the bigger stuff out a massive amount of points will have to be spent solely on troops and transports. The majoris and minoris formations are extremely vulnerable as they get no upgrades and have terrible armour. No air support. I dont disagree with stopping the indirect fire MW BP spam cheese as was common to all previous armies. I like the automation idea.
I'll give it a try though and post the results.

I'm planning on painting up my infantry for the demon engine list in a neutral palette, so I can also play as these guys (and a hypothetical dark mechanicus list too). It'll be a while yet.

Rule clarification:
Can CAP equiped minorus carry rapier upgraded sagitarii? It mentions Chimedons can't and the CAP notes don't mention them. I just wanted to make sure.
To use the Quake CLP combo on minorus ("legal version") one of the two has the Quake and the other has the CLP?

Atension: you are correct, Rapiers may be carried by minorus with a CAP. You are also correct that quake +clp combo puts a quake on one and the CLP on the other.

Trying to build a list but running into difficulties with the support unit and ordinatus restrictions per core unit. Any chance on loosening the restrictions to 3 support and/or 2 ordinati per core selection. Its making 4000 point lists quite awkward and severely limiting army variation between admech skittari players.

I'll think about it but post some lists so there's data to look at. Those numbers may be a bit much at lower point values. Most of my playtesting has been between 2k and 3k.

My current list:
Demi-century + 2x minorus with laser blaster
Demi-century + 2x minorus with laser blaster
Majoris Mars
Majoris Armageddon
Praetorian + CAP minorus
Praetorian + CAP minorus
Praetorian + CAP minorus
Cataphractii support
Colossus assault maniple.

My concern is that it will be very suseptable to flyers, drop ships and drop pods. Going to play test it against a balanced ghaz ork army and an assault heavy blood angels list. I'll try and post the results.

I don't know, all of the Ordinatus have AA as does the colossus. The only formation you have without inbuilt AA is the cataphractii macharius. You probably won't be downing thunderhawks, but you'll always get a BM on them and you have numbers on your side. I think I'd be more concerned with your activation count if you only have 9 in a 4k list.

Been playing a bunch of 3000 point games against a guard player. I have found that I either get severely out matched activation wise or severely out maneuvered (since upping my activation count means transports suffer). Also I get slammed by indirect fire and can only really answer it with the Golgotha (since there are no flyers), (Quake + CLP isn't really viable) . The units are quite tough for the most part and have great survivability, however the cost of making them mobile is prohibitive and I constantly have to scramble to even have a chance at gaining control points. So far 0 for 3, one match was close and 2 were complete defeats.

Been using slight variations on the list below:

Skitarii Demi-Century + CAP minorus + magos
Sagitarii Maniple
Ordinatus Minorus Company with quakes
Ordinatus Majoris Golgotha
Praetorian Servitor Maniple
Praetorian Servitor Maniple
Crusader Scout Maniple
Colossus Assault Maniple
Cataphractii Support

You have a good bit of expense added in there with the majoris and minorus coy. I was playing against ground marines using a transport minorus heavy list a few weeks back and I didn't feel the activation difference as badly.I used garison to push some of the skiwer stuff forward and had plenty of mobility with the sagitarii to easily maneuver on his half the table. I've not yet had a chance to play vs guard with it so that could prove quite different. Here's the list I was using:

Demi-century, magos, 350
Sagitarii, Rapiers, transport minorus 425
Sagitarii, Rapiers, transport minorus 425
Colossus 250
Colossus 250
Praetorians, transport minorus 375
Crusaders 150
Crusaders 150
Cataphractii 350
Warhound, pbg, vmb 275
3000

Do you happen to have the guard list?

I can understand that there is a huge amount of points in the Ordinati formations but that's what this list is about no? They only exist here and should be an asset not a detriment. I have one of each of the Majori and 6 custom made minori (2 CAP, 2 Quake and 1 CLP and 1 Laser blaster) it would be a shame not to be able to field them. I have a question about points also why are 2 minori 300pts when individually they are cheaper. a pair of warhound titans for 500 is a vastly better use of points than 2 minori with Quake at 450. The warhounds are considerably better in all regards for a mere 50 pts. It just ensures that they are an unviable choice.

Also against MW warhounds the minorus CAPs are scary. He gets first activation and bam a whole mounted squad could bite the dust (actually happened twice), as its really hard to avoid LOS on a 30cm warhound. Was toying with chimedons but they are a pricy alternative
