The Adeptus Mechanicus situation has gotten to the point where the NetERC has had to get involved. Rather than air the dirty laundry I'm just going to lay the way forward out. If you have any questions/comments on the process, feel free to post them here. Anything else will be deleted.
CS will either close down forum registration during the week for voting or, failing that, will be monitoring the votes for newly registered users. |

I'm not applying because I'm done with list developing, playtesting, and commenting. If anyone wants to take any of my old list ideas and run with them, feel free. |

Any chance we can get the deadline extended? |

I assume a list simply has to be a vision, ideally ready to move from experimental to dev? |

In the interest of moving things along I'd like to avoid an extension. However, if more people want it we'll push back the list submission deadline. |

Seems like I may have decided to start meddling with an AMTL fan supplement at just the right time. Have just emailed Mossinian & Dave to go into more detail. My concept is to do a supplement called Epic: Engine War, drawing heavily from the Dan Abnett book Titanicus, which is all about a Titan legion on Chaos Titan Legion battle on a forgeworld called Orestes. As part of the development, I'd be happy to oversee the Ad Mech in general. So, in short, here's the breakdown of the supplement: Title: EPIC: ENGINE WAR Planned Armies: Legio Invicta (Imperial loyalist titan legion - Titans with Guard support), Legio Tempestus (Mechanicus Separatist titan legion - Titans with Mechanicus support), Legio Interfector (Chaos Titan Legion). Team Members: Me doing most of the heavy lifting, playtesting thus far done with my gaming club in London. Have a second playtest group in Ireland, centred around the internal Blizzard gaming club in Cork. Have a couple of ex-eavy metal painters on hand for doing model photography; some really good artists for interior book art. Will expand outwards once I have what I feel is a workable V1 ruleset. Completion date: Looking to get a V1 playtest version online by end of July. Then 2 x 3 month test phases, followed by a 3 month lag to take the final version from draft to a polished final version. Thus, looking at completion by Summer 2013. Status of supplement: Preliminary work complete after 6 week initial playtest. Now being compiled into initial document for uploading. |

::raises hand:: Given how many of them pop-up on here I'd say a fair number of posters do too. If you wanted more time you should have PMed me. All I saw was your question. |

I apparently do ![]() It took me all evening friday and half of saturday to do the layout work for the list and earlier in the week was playtesting and prep. Even starting from scratch there are enough tested unit types out there to base a list around to give a good start and a feel for where you are taking things. |

I asked a question and you responded that there wasn't going to be an extension Then you make a comment about there only being one submission Notice a pattern? |

Where in this did I say there wasn't going to be an extension? Dave wrote: In the interest of moving things along I'd like to avoid an extension. However, if more people want it we'll push back the list submission deadline.

What about Willardf? I'm not sure if he got an army list together, but it seems like there is more interest than simply Vaaish. |

As I mentioned, I have a draft list, but would need at least a week to put something I'd be happy with online. W |

The two things pulling at this are a need to keep the dev ball rolling and that not fitting peoples' schedules. So my question to (the collective) you is: when do we say "Nope, we've waited enough. Let's move on to a vote,"? I can set a deadline again, but nothing's stopping anyone from coming in an hour before it and saying "Wait for me! Give me another week!" |
