Evil&Chaos has decided to stick to his initial decision and step down as AMTL army champion as he feels he cannot give it the attention it deserves. Huge thanks for the work done during his stewardship which has really pushed forward the full range of AMTL lists.

If anybody is willing to take over as AC can they let me know via PM

The role requires
- continuing development of the Gryphonne list
- direct stewardship of the Skitarii list and overseeing its testing+development towards Approved status
- overseeing and working with the various AMTL list champions
- liasing with supplement developers
- working closely with both Dobbsy+Rug on overlapping issues

Thank you e&c for the time you put in, I would also like to thank everyone else that puts their time in as well. I'm pretty new to the forum but without everything you guys do i would not have a spot to sit and oogle at stuff in my spare time.

Just a note to say that if noone steps up for this post I'll be forced to continue as developer in name only for another ~5 months until I have more time to devote to the Skitarii list. I would still prefer someone take on this role during this time as 5 months is enough to test and finish a list, given enough energy and effort.

E&C- if someone took on the Skitari list then maybe you can continue as overall AMTL AC? That has worked well with Knightworld list with Morgan Vening. The War Gryphonne list does nt need much work on it so it won't take up much of your time.

It might make it easier to find a new AC if they only have to shepherd the Skitarii list.

Cheers

James

This process has been open for 2 weeks and I have contacted several candidates on top of that. Given the reservations of those candidates, I'd like to recommend that Evil and Chaos stays on as AC and appoints a new sub-AC also with responsiblity for driving on the skitarii for the next 5 months.

I'll pass on the details of those I've exchanged PMs with, if anybody else is interested can they PM myself or E+C

I have a strong interest in the Adeptus Mechanicus and would like to see the Skitarii list move towards approval status. I'll be happy to work on the Skitarii list for the next five months, if you'll have me.

Qualifications in brief:
- I really want to see a Skitarii list reach approval status
- Actively playing AdMech (both AMTL and Skitarii), has regular opponents
- Good knowledge of Mechanicus background
- Good english
- Good with IT tools
- One fanlist produced (Insurgency)

My AdMech PDF vision in brief:
The Adeptus Mechanicus home defence army should feature:
- Heavy infantry, with augmented combat servitor support. Mechanicus soldiers should play like normal humans with excellent, high-tech equipment, including transports.
- Heavy tanks and war machines. Mechanicus armour should be slow, resilient and hard-hitting, and should have a distinct high-tech flavour.
- Machines. It should be possible to represent heavy machinery either adapted from civilian purposes or quickly juryrigged for combat puposes.
- No special forces, deep strike, orbital insertion or similar - Mechanicus is not known for that fighting style, and a defence force would not have them.
- Installations. A defence force on home turf should have access to various static installations - orbital defence lasers, lightening grids, minefields etc.

Here's a more fleshed-out proposal for the AMPDF list. Notable changes compared to the 2.01 list is
- Various installations with funky tech-flavoured effects (replacing mobile ground AA)
- An attempt at making the Minoris work as a heavy troop transport.
- More variety in the use of praetorians and light artillery

Still looking over it, but the Bastion Lascannon is an Icarus-class, not Aegis-class.

D'oh! Was too lazy to fetch my Planetstrike from the basement. Will fix.

A few notes regarding the big changes - the installations.

The Apocalypse datasheet for Defense Lasers only allows two (optional) AA turrets, and these are Twin Linked Autocannon with AA mounts, not the Long Barreled Hydra version. Thus your stats would be the AP4+/AT5+/AA5+ statline of the Hydra, but with one shot and 30cm range (-15cm to AA mounts). This assumes you wish to add them - they're optional equipment, and not neccessarily something Epic would normally represent.

I like the Lightning Field Generators, but as a formation of Immobile AV, taking one in the middle out will deactivate half the line due to inability to move into coherency. I'd almost prefer something as simple as an Immobile AV with 4+ Armor, 5+ CC, 6+ FF, Fearless, and Scout. The Scout creates a good approximation of the defensive perimiter I understand the LFG to be, while the CC and FF represent the danger of getting too close. Fearless means they need to be physically breached by shooting or engagement to pass, again representative of trying to cross a perimeter defense line.

I'd like Bastions to get another pip of FF, and a reduction to two Heavy Bolters. Only half the bolters can train on any given point (actually I think in Planetstrike they have a 90 deg feild of fire, meaning only one would cover any given area) so abtracting down to two all round would make sense. This may also allow them to drop to 50 pt each.

Shield generators cover too much ground - 90cm means that a generator on your blitz will reach out to your opponent's deployment zone on a normal sized table. A 30-45cm exclusion zone would be plenty.

The Vox is great, though it may need a points reduction. Not sure though.

I'm not against adding a Tech Preist to the Praetorian Support, though I'm not sure it's neccessary. (*edit* - Actually it is due to the five unit capacity of transport minoris, but the rest of the paragraph stands nonetheless) However, the lone Hypasist should go IMO. I understand that the current formaition takes exactly the number of Transport slots available to the Minoris upgrade, but having a spare slot is no biggie, and the Hypasist adds nothing to the formaiton, again IMO.

I'll build some lists soon.
