I have decided to step down as Mechanicus Champion, as although I'm getting playtesting done right now, none of it is going on the Skitarii or Knightworld lists, but instead on Ork lists or my own variant AMTL list that few are interested in. As such I feel it would be silly to hang on to the Championship if I know I'm not going to get any Championship work done for at least six months. Please send expressions of interest to Human ERC member Steve54, so that a new Mechanicus Developer can be selected. You must be committed to testing and completing the/a Skitarii list within a time of around six months (as the knightworld list already has Morgan as sub champion, although Morgan can feel free to apply too if he feels he can cope with finishing both lists). |

Sad news Quote: or my own variant AMTL list that few are interested in. Any reason why you do not make the variant the actual list? Just a thought... |

i suspect because 'very few are interested' in the variant list. and those that dont like it REALLY dont like it. so making it the core list would at minimum, result in many people saying very rude (and in this instance, entirely justified ;)) things about him. |

Sad News indeed. I would consider trying to take up the AMTL but I don't think I have the qualifications for this one even tho its one of the only armies I have anywhere near done! LOL! Maybe Vaaish might like to take a spin? Well at least will see you crank out a supplement and hopefully more CADing Awesomeness! |

Hey, I like the variant list! But I don't play titan legions, which I might have in common with other people who like the variant list. For one thing it gets rid of the artillery titan, which is an extremely stupid concept when you think about it. |

In the realm of GW 40k? LOL Yes, even in the realm of 40k. You have a giant, fantastically heavily armoured God-Machine. So what do you do with it? What you don't do is outfit it with long-range weapons and stick it deep behind your own lines. It's a colossal waste. Artillery is lightly armored for a reason. |

Thanks to E&C who has, in my opinion, done a fantastic job with the AMTL and the whole group of mechanicus lists. I'd reiterate what I PMed to you on Saturday but if you are set on stepping down thanks for the sterling work done during your stewardship. |

Thanks E&C for the effort you have put in so far. The AMTL list I see now is in way much better shape than when you took it over, so it has been time well spent. Hopefully the core AMTL list won't need much more to be finalised and approved. And the variant list which you have been championing, although it would never have been accepted as the core list, does give us interesting options and makes for an alternative Titan playstyle. I hope you can continue to tweak this list and get it EUK approved. I look forward to completion of Mechanicus supplement and finalisation of OGBM and Stompy Onslaught lists. Thanks again James |

Because the community are happy with the balance and tactical complexity of the War Gryphonnes list, and as Steve says, I have been a steward, not a dictator. Although there has never been a codified set of rules for Champions to abide by, I do feel in this case that if I can't commit to actively testing one of the two WIP lists under my aegis in a reasonable timeframe, I should stand aside for someone who can. |

That doesn't preclude minor changes in the future by the new Champion of course. And there's no such thing as a "core" list. ;-) Quote: I look forward to completion of Mechanicus supplement and finalisation of OGBM and Stompy Onslaught lists. That will definitely happen, and I shall be relying on the new Mechanicus Champion to deliver me a Skitarii list that is worthy of inclusion in the Epic: Mechanicus printed supplement. |

MANY thanks for all your efforts in getting the War Gryphonnes list ready for the 2012 Army Book. The current list is far superior to the list you inherited. Job well done. |

I tried to convince E&C to stay on to no avail. Although the publicized reasons of working on the new supplement are admirable, I suspect that there may be other more pressing issues than Epic for our pal E&C. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tDYMayp6Dk ![]() |

I don't deny that I'm being responsible on a number of levels :-) |

This was unexpected, but since both the Skitarii and Titan lists are fairly well established, I don't think they need updating all that often these days. Why not just take a sabbatical from active development of the lists for 6 months and then come back? |
