Voted Something else: don't really mind as long as Gorgons (or some other big WE thing are kept) either or both or something new. It's still a box on wheels. |

b) I do like the idea of the older Chimaera variants, but Gorgons and Chimaeras is fine for me in a pinch. |

Having learnt that the BL book with Ad-Mech features Gorgons I've retracted my earlier dislike for them in the list. Things look pretty decisive so far at least. |

I personally think rhinos and their ilk are a bit cooler on the tabletop with admech, but that doesn't seem to be in the best interest of the list and the switch seems to have partly resulted in more people shelving it altogether which is never good so I'll accept Gorgons +Chimeras and variants. |

I voted 'Gorgons & Rhinos (& Rhino variants)', but that's really because that's what I'm painting at the moment (plastic Rhinos are a dime a dozen). I don't think it would be a problem to play them as "counts-as" Chimeras, if that's what the list ends up with, so 'Gorgons and Chimera (variants)' is cool too. |

Gorgons and Rhinos were my vote, for the following reasons: 1) Extra point of differentiation from Guard armies 2) Hypaspists seem as if they should be the 'stars' of their formation, using APCs to increase their mobility. The Chimeras are IFVs, and I think the extra firepower would attenuate just how superior each Hypaspist is to guardsmen; they're nearly as good as stormtroopers. 3) Rhinos are a very ubiquitous model, thanks to all the plastic starter sets. |

I voted for Gorgons and Chimera's(& varients). I have rhino's ready to paint but i really like the look of the variant models and the fact that they were in the original 2nd game(though at the tail end). I like the gorgon too, and my favorite water mammal makes some great one's too. Though I've seen other proxy models for Gorgons even some using the old versions and just using them. I have a few of the variants too(though some with conversion and others are original) but proxy's can be made and found, especially with AoT's. And while the above comment is true(plastic rhino's can be found almost anywhere) I've always seen them as space marine or old imp guard vehicles (though by epic 40k the guard got access to the chimera standard chassis). I know that they did not have another vehicle for old Space Marine guard until the creation of the chimera. Also with the idea of the list, it does not seem like a get right into FF immediately.. its a slow grinding list. I'd also use chimera with a flamer turret, not like the hellhound, but a normal vehicle flamer that you see in some of the lists out there. To me the Ad Mech are creative and creative to the person who plays them. Just look at the conversion idea's you have for minoris and majoris or even using robots for more fluff and character. |

Gorgons only for me - otherwise it just becomes steel legion but better+ with extra stuff, and I don't like the aesthetic of using rhinos |
