The most interesting part for me of reading the new Land Raider Archiles' background is the fact that the Adeptus Mechanicus's Ordo Reductor use a lot of them, as this really settles the debate which has raged for years in other places about the Adeptus Mechanicus should have some access to Land Raiders in their armies or not (personally I’ve veered towards the them having them side but I never got round to bringing in up). I'd really love to see an Ordo Reductor (siege specialist) variant of the existing Ad-Mech list including older and/or higher-tech kit, with Minotaurs, Archiles, Thunderfire Cannons (presumably), Valdors, Termites, Moles, Hellbores and Siege Titans. It could loose Chimeras, sentinels and maybe Forge Knights. Perhaps a core artillery formation and a very selection of siege specific titan weapons only. Fancy having a go E&C? |

I very much like idea of a Siege AM list. Since Siege is the flavor of Epic lately, lol! Amoured Spear Head with Land Raiders with LOTS of Artillery! It could be awesome! E&C, you were planing on making a Exploratory list too, eventually right? You could make a Standard list and/or variant Siege list eh? Btw, what ever happened with the trenches you were building? Did they ever get finished? ![]() |

Definitely worth thinking of. Quote: Btw, what ever happened with the trenches you were building? My gaming table? Got stalled half way, heh. |

I've had a think on this, it's a definite possibility, but not before we've locked down the core Skitarii list a bit more first. |

I'd be interested in seeing this develop as well. That would include playtesting support. |

Older background had Ordo Reductor maintaining siege dreads. I'm not sure what form that might take with more recent fluff. More like servitors, maybe? |

There is negligible more recent background, I think the Ordo Reductor appeared on the tally of regiments fighting in the Armageddon and/or Eye of Terror campaign, but apart from the recent Archiles reference I believe that's all there's been. Maybe they could have actual Siege Dreadnoughts? If they're using Land Raiders despite the Emperor's proclamation they should be reserved for Space Marines only, then Dreadnoughts as per the old background could be fine and good to include. Presumably they could be piloted by wired in servitors or tech-priests. |

I'd be reluctant to give them dreadnoughts of the space marine type. It blurs the line with marines too much and it's a waste of a good modelling opportunity But seige servitors... |
