As from a previous thread I started...

Yup, I do have two. Fortunately I got them when a new one cost $25. However, I'm not very likely to use them in E:A, except for big games. They are a tremendous points sink and it would be hard for them to earn back the points spent on them.

So do you think it's worth taking at all? I'd think the shear "Oh S%$t" factor alone would make your opponent freak out and spend more time trying to take the titan down wasting activations to stop it. Diversion or waste?

In a big game, yes if only to give a fairly solid BTS. They are very likely to break, if not destroy, most formations they target; but they are only 1 formation, they can't be everywhere at once so unless you're playing over 5k they're almost a liability. I find it a touch irritating that a great Gargant is arguably harder to kill but they are hugely better armed.

I played an 18k game yesterday and lost my Imperator to an an extremely lucky assault by 4 drop podding formations that landed almost on top of it, the pods managed to strip my sentinel screen which was meant to stop such an occurrence happening, probably deserves to be in your horror stories thread.

We were just wondering also if the Imperator could perhaps target multiple formations with different weapons.

Would be devastating, I suppose. Otherwise in 3 rounds, 3 formations will turn to dust with that amount of firepower.

So far not a real issue, as our imperators are still unglued and in a box somewhere.

There was a dude fielding 2 and a warhound in the Bristol tournament this year. He got last place I believe.

3000 points...

Too low on activations etc.

The fun factor though.

The bigger they come, the harder they fall . . .

This subject has come round a number of times. The issue being that to be costed appropriately, titans are a points sink reducing the overall number of activations in the army. Unfortunately, allowing multiple activations causes a number of issues not least being how to 'destroy' an activation and the impact of actually doing this. Criticals are another consideration etc. Ultimately it causes many more problems than it solves . . .

I believe Irondeath worked on some rules a few years ago, or perhaps you might consider trying some 'house rules'. However the current rules will not change officially in the foreseeable future, so you will not get titans with multiple activations for many years, if ever.
