i dont know much about them, am i safe to assume its just a titan class weapon thrown onto some wheels?

i want to make a few minoris and one of each of the majoris, i saw some of the old models floating around mut they look pretty pricey i think ill play my hand at making some of my own.

anone have any artwork/pics i can look at to go by when starting the project?

Techinally, each Ordinatus is a unique piece of tech, so they can look like pretty much anything... with a crazy, Adeptus Mechanicus slant to it.  They are usually mega-tech/lost-tech/xenos-tech tacked onto a AM chassis of some kind, just to get it to the battlefield... though one Ordinatus was actually a massive "tunneler" for getting under siegeworks.

Sorry if that doesn't give much inspiration.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ordinatus is a good start.

Minor Ordinati are, as you say, Titan weapons on tracks.

Major Ordinati are one-of-a-kind items, extremely old and incredibly powerful weapon systems, some of them never seen anywhere else. For instance, Ordinatus Mars bears a Sonic Disruptor that can level city blocks with massive waves of focused [ultra?]sound.

You can find more info in AMTL list here. In it Ordinatus Majoris can also take titan weapons but I'm not sure how canon is that.

I believe the 'Titan weapon' that the Ordinatus Majoris can take is supposed to *represent* other, wierder tech/weapons without having to create a master list of "unique" weapons; allowing for a variety of Ordinatus to be built/fielded.

Ah, that's cool. Maybe it could warrant a sidenote in the list as a design concept?

*goes to check the PDF ultra carefully to find out if he missed any obvious stuff again, as usual*

Should probably have a footprint similar or a bit larger than that of CI, but less bulky and heavily armored.

ok, im already underway to create my first ordinitus. im gonna go with the armageddon pattern with the nova cannon. i have the treads worked out already. a mix of an old chimera, an old shadowsword and a land raider should do.

I put a whirlwind radar dish in the cannon port of a capitol imperialis to make an ordinatus Mars for my Knightworld army (had it for ages and then it dawned on me that it's basically a giant castle so I had to use it somehow as it fit my Knights theme!)

I didn't glue it in, so I also made a Nova cannon that looks like a giant 88 flak gun (from a space marine tank commander crotch and a gorkamorka truk eavy shooter and some styrene tube, of all things) to swap in.

And I was just lucky to pick up an ordinatus armageddon from ebay for about US$20.50

Actually I just remembered a great idea I had for Ordinatus Minoris;

Forgeworld Earthshaker carriage- just replace the weapon with whatever you fancy for the ordinatus weapon, and perhaps replace the Trojan carriers crane arm with a metal pinhead as if it were the void shield generator (if you get the trojans at all as they are sold seperately anyway).

I just had an idea too :) Since Mk1 Land Raiders are dime a dozen (I have at least 50 lying around and I wasn't even trying) you could try building a base structure out of joined Land Raider hulls - say, put a six in a rectangle two Land Raiders wide and three deep and fix them together. When you get a base big enough for you, build weapon superstructure on top of it.

Yeah I was thinking that would make an excellent Majoris if you have the bits but I didnt have any land raiders! Also, various mega gargant arm and crane bits look good for making the superstructure for the weapon... that would also fit in really nice with a Minoris made from the Earthshaker platform.

If your curious about actual dimensions, the Ordinatus Armageddon is 6 cm long, 4 cm high and 2.5 cm wide.

Nah, it's got to be bigger then that, these things are meant to destroy cities.
Something the size of a large rubber just isn't that imposing.

"The ordiantus is deployed sir."

"Good. Did you use the range and vision enhancer?"

"Yes sir, one golf tee just as ordered."

oh. you meant the model. :vD
