Hey E&C, the Upgrade table is listed in both the Army List and the Weapon list.

Y'know, it does seem kinda odd to list it twice, now I stop to think about it...

sorry to get in on this late, but what is the color scheme for this army? i have a good 4000 point minervan list that i would like to run as this sometimes as well, does it have a specific color scheme, and does that scheme pass over to the titans as well?

what do people use as skitarri in their forces?

sorry for the basic questions.

The main colour used by the Adeptus Mechanicus is red, but of course, you could have your own Forgeworld who believes that the Omnissiah is fond of green or blue, if you so desired it...

Titans will often use their own colourscheme, which may or may not incorporate the reds and whites of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

The War Griffons have lightgrey/darkgrey-mottled carapaces and yellow weapons and heads.

The colour scheme of a Titan list depends on the Legion, the scheme of a Skitarii list woukd probably contain red, but the rest is up to your imagination. Note that both lists contain units from different sections of the AM. So for example in a Titan list the Skitarii could have a different colour scheme than the Titans.

I use regular IG for my Skitarii.

are the 2 lists supposed to mesh with each other in some way? is there any way i could run an imperator in my minervan list?

also, my scheme for my minervan list is red chassis with boltgun weapons and some gold details. should match up well with admech schemes.

my titans will be as above but will have a little bit of white and blue added in for flavor.

Although currently untested, it is my long-term goal that the Titans from this list should prove balanced for use with other Imperial army lists*...

...Bear in mind that as an Imperator is 1250 points, you'd need to be playing a game of at least 3750 points before you'd be allowed to take an Imperator Titan in a Minervan army list (Under the 'only 1/3rd of your points may be spent on allies' rule).

* Perhaps non-tournament use only, but balanced nonetheless.

Just two points at this time, until I can read further into the list.

Point one.  Corvus Assault Pod

I have a lobely siege titan with a CAP, but I am wondering why I should field him, with this 300pt weapon, when other weapons are free.

I have played around a bit with using infantry with a titan and have found that they need some boast to make it worthwhile to use.  My usual tactic is to assault with the titan and pile out the infantry to get some extra kills in.  However unless they are praetorians (which can’t be taken) then they also give extra kills to the enemy, and their input balances out.

I have played around with giving the unit that disembark first strike in the first round of combat (to represent the shock value on the titans arm dropping to the floor and disgorging dozens of skitarii) and this works well.

Other ideas could be to give the CAP some small arms weapons or the ability to take praetorians.

Point 2 warhounds surcharge

Now this is more of an accounting request, but could the surcharge be included in the cost of the warhound, so a single costs 300pts and a pair 550, and you get a rebate if you take different weapons.  The reason for this is that I often play around with lists, often last minute, and paying the extra 25pts can be forgotten, since it isn’t a normal upgrade.

This way if I do swap from two different weapons to two of the same then I end uyp playing 25pts under rather than 25pts over.

Didn’t JJ say that any “special rulesâ€Â

How do people cope with the brutally low activation counts in an AMTL?

The most I can see getting is 4 Reavers and 6 Sentinels which doesnt sound very good.

do you just have to make do with 6-7 activations normally?

I guess I'm so used to playing AMTL I no longer consider 6 activations to be a low number.  :)) Yeah, you pretty much make due.It is possible to have more activations, but then you usually have a handful of low cost formations that break easily. Keep in mind that Battle Titans can take an awful lot of punishment before being destroyed. Unlike other formations which degrade during the course of the game due to casualties, Titans have their full firepower throughout the game until broken or killed. Also, obviously it's important for other armies, but it's especially important for AMTL to reduce the number of activations the enemy has. It's not uncommon for me to have only 4 activations by turn 3, but if two of them are unscathed Reavers, I can still inflict some serious punishment. Just ask Dave.
