Soo, I be a recent initiate into the entire Epic Armageddon scene - having been introduced and addicted to the game by Mr Chaos and Evil himself (curse you! Like I NEEDED another system to become addicted to.) and as a result, I've drawn up my first Legio list which is..as follows,

Warlord Titan 950pts
+ Legate
+ Carapace Multilasers
x2 Turbolaser Destructors
x1 Gatling Blaster
x1 Quake Cannon

x1 Reaver Titan 725
+ Veteran Princeps
+ Carapace Multilasers
x1 Apocalypse Missile Launcher
x1 Volcano Cannon
x1 Gatling Blaster

x1 Reaver Titan 725
+ Veteran Princeps
+ Carapace Multilasers
x1 Apocalypse Missile Launcher
x1 Volcano Cannon
x1 Gatling Blaster

x1 Warhound Titan 300
x2 Vulcan Megabolters

x1 Warhound Titan 300
x2 Plasma Blast Guns

3000 points

Thoughts?

curse you!
Hah, I got cursed.  :))

Your army list looks pretty solid by my eye. You've a good variety of weapons, the Warlord Titan looks beastly, Veteran Princepsii will keep your Titans activating reliably, and the spread of AA guns will ensure that your Titans will probably be alright as long as they stick together and keep each other covered (6x AA5+ is *hell* for pretty much any aircraft, it'd even make a Marine Landing Craft think twice).

Your main weakness with this list will be in trying to hit enemies that lie beyond your LOF/range, as you have no Indirect Fire weapons, and no aircraft.

If you can find a spare 150pts for a pair of Thunderbolt fighters, or just 50pts to upgrade one of the Apocalypse Missile Launchers to a Support Missile on one of the Reavers, I recommend it.

Your second weakness will be in grabbing objectives; Hold your Warhound Titans safe for the first few turns, then send them leaping to control/contest objectives later in the game, whilst the Battle Titans Walk and attract your opponent's fire.

Now, my name's Ben in real life... which one are you 'British'?  :))

I Ben, would be...the other Ben...aka 'Tomb Kings Guy' as in the guy who came along to Wood Green a couple of times as a temporary Summer gaming refugee.

And sadly The_Real_Chris, I'm off back to Reading University tomorrow so, alas, such a thing will be somewhat difficult :p.

Ah, sweet, hey Ben! IIRC you're aiming to end up with a bunch of locals playing Epic pretty soon in Reading... perhaps we'll be seeing one or two of your guys at the various Epic national events from time to time too.

Either way, it's great to see another guy making the step and getting into Epic;  Mario from the club also decided to get into Epic properly last week, and bought a Space Marine army.

PS: Thanks for not dropping my crew in the pooh over on Warseer and naming us, you know what I mean.

Yeah, zat vasn't meant to be tooo obvious :sigh:  .

Aye I'm trying to get something of an Epic following going in the University games society...I know theres a couple of players down and about my Local store as well - and I do intend to investigate the other local gaming club for players.

I'm probably going to run up some kind of Skitarii force, this be just my force planned for what I'm planning on ordering...once I get ze money...damned beeing a student...and damned my need to buy expensive Dark Heresy books as well...If all goes well this year, I should have scaled up one of my Reavers into Apoc size (gotta love that Lucius pattern, no bends) - damned my obsessive scratchbuilding desires.
