Public opinion seems to be in favour (Has passed a vote on this forum at least) of splitting the list into three (Mechanicus, Skitarii, Knights) and that's the direction I'm going to take the V3 for the moment.

I expect the Knight-focused list to have heavy Titan reinforcements available... but balance and consistency with the 40k background are my priorities.

1) the disappearance of traditional ordinatus

It's worth noting that the traditional Ordinatae can still be closely represented through appropriate armaments.

For example:

- Ordinatus Mars - 2x Inferno Gun
- Ordinatus Golgotha - 2x Barrage Missile
- Ordinatus Armageddon - 2x Quake Cannon

However, I understand the concern, and as with everything in this list, I cannot help meet your desires until I am told what they are! :D

2) arming of the titans which call into question too today's standards, as well as the wysiwyg

I'm not sure I follow what you mean here.

I can also give you a summary of the status of our discussions on this list.

Please do!

In broad outline, we spent a large households of Paladins (6 Paladins + 1 Paladin seneschal for 550pts) in the main formations giving access to two formations of auxilia.

In the training of auxilia are large households of 6 Lanciers + 1 lancier Seneschal, 6 Errants + 1 Errant seneschal 550pts each (both households account for a choice of two formations of auxilia) and other classicals formations of 3 Knights account for 1. All of these formations can be taken only on condition of having a large household of Paladins.

The standards 0-1 ordinatus drop to the auxilia.

About ordinatus we are not convinced of the merits compared to the background of their multiplication because they are rare machines can be counted on the fingers of one hand in all the universe. So having the opportunity to bring 2 or 3 in a game does not seem to us a good thing. Especially as equipping them with weapons of titans will completely break their personality.

And what disappointment for all those who have ruined to acquire the original stuffs.

Regarding weapons of the Titans, french players are very attached to the match between what the characteristics between weapons of SM / TL and those of EA.

The actuals profiles well stick to that. Since the introduction of new turbo laser with modified range on the V3, that challenging the arming of support Titan in SM and IG lists. As the disappearance of some variety into combinations of arms with the currently purpose of AMTL.

It is in this sense that we prefer to develop a change in the current AMTLV2 list ?and many of us say, not run so poorly that it except that the Knights were almost unplayable in 3000pts as well as some changes to formations of auxilia.

This is a couple that emerges with us.

Let me take a break if you do not mind ?:D But I will be back very quickly in order to bring the ideas of my colleagues and to be aware of your reactions.

Jay

Since four Ordinatus were deployed just to fight in the 3rd war for Armageddon (See the Epic rulebook page where it says what forces took part in the war), we can safely assume that this is no longer the case.

And what disappointment for all those who have ruined to acquire the original stuffs.

I am not adverse to having stats for three 'special character' ordinatus configurations, those being the three ordinatii from 2nd edition, or even reverting to them entirely.

The point is that the background for Ordinatae is that they are bizarre constructions of the Adeptus Mechancius, and that they are not so rare anymore is obvious to see in the new background.

Since the introduction of new turbo laser with modified range on the V3, that challenging the arming of support Titan in SM and IG lists.

I'll put this simply:

- Having 8x AT3+ shots on the Warhound Titan for 250pst under the V2 list was broken.

It's that simple... that's why the best army lists under V2 are simply many Warhound Titans... there is very little reason to take anything else.

In addition, I wanted v3 to match the developments in 40k that have been occuring (More details about Titan weapon types have been revealed by Forgeworld / Apocalypse)... for example the Warhound's Turbolaser is definitively the same weapon (With the same range) as the Warlord's Turbolaser.

If we want Epic to remain as an 'adult' version of 40k, representing the same thing, this cannot be avoided.

It is in this sense that we prefer to develop a change in the current AMTLV2 list

I'd very much prefer if we could collaborate... the main sticking point being that in several important regards, the AMTL v2 list 'failed'.

V3 is a big difference I admit, and if retrenchment must happen in the future then that is as may be... but I would prefer that we at least attempt to provide a list which is more balanced than v2.

One thing I wanted to do when I was asked to work on the AMTL list is to cut away the 'bloat' of the v2 list.

The v2 list has nearly everything in it:

- It has enough foot troop types & tanks to do a solid IG style army.

- It has enough Knights to do a full knightworld army.

- It has dozens and dozens of Titan weapons (A dazzling array).

In other words, it is a very, very large list, with far too many options, that isn't in line with how an Epic : Armageddon army list should be (Focused).

I feel that this is one list that can benefit from our French collegues as we are still trying to bed things down and they have probably had a lot more games than the rest of us. The question is can we all start from the same position and progress together with E&C at the helm?
