G'day again, Well after reading all the others I thought i would have a go at my own. I didn't want to do anything too crazy but tried to pick out what i liked best in each list and add them all together. I have of course added a little of my own ideas. I have added no new units, but instead tried to streamline the list so that if focuses on the titans and not the tech guard or knights. They are still there however. Please feel free to shoot it to pieces. The wpns will require more work i'm sure and i have borrowed heavily from the work of others. Enjoy and happy new year! **edit** Version 1.1 added 29 DEC 07 |

I like it, Ortron, especially your weapon system. You're keeping it simple, but still provide enough variety. Two questions- why is the Gatling Blaster both a 2A and 2b weapon? How do you know if a weapon mount has a rating of 3 (in relation to gaining 5cm to movement for leaving it empty)? |

Good pickups Dwarf Supreme.. they are two errors of the old cut and paste.. I'll fix that for the next version. At this stage i'm going with GB as 2A so that it fits with SG warhound, And weapon mounts should read sonething like: If a battle titan has at least 1 free hardpoint (thinking 2 for warlords?) it gains +5cm. Thanks Cheers |

Why are TL Destructor & Gatling Blaster more expensive points wise than Vulcan Mega Bolter & Plasma Blast Gun? Is it simply the 60cm range? Could we number the weapon types as 1/2/3/4 rather than 1/2a/2b/3. You can still make both weapon types 2 & 3 cost 75 points but, to me personally would be less confusing. I would like to see the Castellans/Crusaders back in- even in limited numbers. I would like to make Paladins as standard choice with all 4 variants as upgrades. Do we need the 0-2 limit for Knights? Would be limiting for larger games. Given the cost of Knights you would be unlikely to take many of them due to the need to squeeze in cheap activations. I notice that there are no SHT/Leman Russ tanks. I can understand that can't fit in all of the possible variants but would have thought basic tanks would make it in. I would probably still field Knights in preference to tanks but not everyone will feel same way. What about rough riders? You could always add the Imperial Guard units into 33% allies choice along with Imperial Navy. I would also like to see Ordinati added to auxilia formations as 0-1 choice. Would like to see all 3 patterns but could live with just one if easier to playtest for balance. Overall I can live with this list. I have always liked the idea of set titan weapon configurations but having 4 classes of titan weapons is pretty much the same. I would rather than start with a list like this and add a small amount of extra detail rather than start with overly complex list and then try to simplify it. I think a list like this is great start and the best basis for playtesting. Thank you Ortron for cherry picking some of the best features of the other various lists. James |

Why does you state that a Titan have to be armed with at least one weapon if you chart shows, that each Titan can't have less than two weapons? But else i like your approach ![]() |

Ok just finished the update with fixes suggested in previous posts. Have tidied up the formating and cleared up the weapons rules.. i think. The armoured cohort is back in but, I've left out the ordinatus, super heavy tanks and heavy knights still as i feel to add them would steal from future tech guard and knight world lists. Plus the fewer moving parts at this stage the better for testing IMO. They can easily be added back in if it works out the list is missing too much. See original post for updated version Cheers and please keep feedback coming. |

I've left out the ordinatus, super heavy tanks and heavy knight I like the limited focus of this list; If I had my way AMTL would mean a titans-only list! |

I like it for the same reason as E&C. It is focused. Titans and a few support units. Not everything that the forgeworld produces. |
