Would "dumbing down" Emperor class titans mean moving some of their linked upgrades (e.g. the Lysander and the half-century) out of Support and into Upgrades? If not, what was intended by the phrase "dumbing down"? In either case, introducing such a pejorative term into the discussion doesn't really present a counter-argument to fixing what some seem to consider a broken unit.

As to fluffiness, one of the few mentions of any loyalist Emperor-class titan I can find is Leg(i)o* Ordo Sinister, which seems to exclusively field Emperor class titans, and be somewhat Inquisition/Ministorum/Arbites aligned. It seems to exist in a sort of Deathwatch/Grey Knights style structure, though I hesitate to mention anything not emanating from Holy Nottingham, nor that which is touched by the hand of Ward .

Perhaps, if the Gryphonicus AMTL list isn't a fitting place for the build I proposed, there is a case for another list?

*- I seem to find it missing the "i" several places it is referred to, but my rudimentary Latin leaves me ignorant of which is correct (but inclined to avoid similarity to Danish building blocks).

From your previous quote (included below) it seemed as if you were arguing that the points cost and stats of the Imperator should be reduced to make it viable to a have a multiple Imperator list for 3K tournament games.

That is the way I have interpreted your comment- hence my response about my reservations about "dumbing down" Imperator by reducing points cost and stats. If I have misunderstood your intent then apologies.

I think that the slight alteration of making their upgrades count as separate Detachments but not Support choices (or even simply no longer consume a support slot) would make more sense, anyway. This would boost the number of activations up to at least 2 for each 1250 point Emperor-class hull (possibly 3 with the Lysander on the Warmonger). On the Warmonger, it puts things pretty close to the "2.5 activations per 1000 points" band.

I don't really have a view on their costing, but was simply trying to suss out more of what @zombocom meant by "not ready for prime-time" in order to address the shortcoming.
