Its not the barrel system again is it? :)

True Adepts call it the "Grade System"... but, yeah, it's based on something like that. ?*laugh*

Not actual *barrels*, per se, but close.

Has it already been done for E:A?

You would want to bring back that system?!?!?

Where's the "barf" emoticon...

I can see doing that for an AT3 or an all titan game, or maybe even for non-tournament games, but definately not a tournament list.

It's not *that* system, it's *inspired* by that system.

Basically:

Warhound: two "Grade 1 mounts" 2 Arm, Titan can carry a total of "2 points" worth of weapons.

Reaver: three "Grade 2 mounts", 1 Carapace, 2 Arm, Titan can carry a total of "6 points" worth of weapons.

Warlord: four "Grade 2 mounts", 2 Carapace, 2 Arm, Titan can carry a total of "8 points" worth of weapons.

The weapons are sorted in to the three "Grades", and upgrades allow one to increase the "Grade" of the hardpoint if desired.

Titan's that leave 2 "Weapon points" open get a +5cm move bonus.

That's the basics of it.

It came straight after your post, so yes it was directed at you Blarg.

You showed me your AMTL weapons proposal one time... there were a heck of a lot of differences from the rulebook's stats, no?

Oh, OK.  Well, while I still want to know where the "barf" emoticon is, I withdraw my desire to use it on you.

For now...   :p  :glare:

Back then, yes.  Now, not quite as much.  I have been working on what I would like to see done for the AMTL and, after a lot of thought and reflection, would not only retract some of the changes that I have advocated, but also some of the changes that AMTL 2.0 would do compared to p. 165 of the E:A rulebook.

What I would like to advocate will be a little bit more complicated than what Chroma floated a couple of entries ago, it also would use a lot of the original stats.  If anything, it was rather scary how well things fell together...

I'm willing to support Blarg for the position (for both loyalist and traitor legion lists - it would be best for both lists to be controlled by one person), even though I don't often agree with him.

One thing I will ask you, Blarg, is that when you post your list here, include a full commentary about all the decisions you made regarding stats and formation composition - as much as you can, anyway. Obviously, not everyone will agree with your decisions, but at least we'll all see why you made them.

I'd like to see both Chroma's and Blarg's proposed systems.

Thank you, and everyone else who has endorsed me, for the support.

I pretty much figured I would need to do that and had planned on doing that anyway.  Be prepared, I may give you more than you asked for...

First off anyone who wants a blast from the past can wade through the 7000+ posts on the old forum (and be aware a lot has deleted! Knock yourself out.)

I think the best bet is for all those who want to be champ (like me and Blarg) to post up our ideas (it would take me the time it takes to upload the files :) ) and then people see who they reckon they can best work with. Also handy perhaps to summarise where we are getting our ideas from. Oh and summarise each other so we at least know if others are getting what we are saying!

But I am completely behind Blarg being a Chaos Titan champ incidentally :)

Also should really decide what to do list wise. I see three options (and perhaps a poll? :) ).

Option 1 - The Tau approach
The Adeptus Mechanicus walks to war. Titan legions, Knight Households, Ordinatus and Skitari. All in one list.

Option 2 - The Imperial approach (Separate Marines and Guard lists, chapters, regiments etc)
Titan legion - Titans and the bare nessacery support units.
Skitari regiment. Generic or themed (Ryza?) or both, or even some sort of way to theme a generic list.
Knight Household. Either a crusading knight force or a pdf (which is what they are!).

Option 3 - Mixed
As two but with lots of unit borrowing between each list.

Barrels - was the AT1 system. You had 4 hardpoints per weapons slot on a warlord. Heavy Weapons were 1 and very heavy 3. So you could have fitted 16 Autocannon (my favourite shield stripper combined with camoline to ensure I could shoot them and they couldn't me) filling up all 16, or something more traditional like the 'ultimate' Nemisis config of two defence lasers (arms) and 2 multi launchers (carapace, 4 'barrels' each) filling up 14 in total.

As a Guard fanatic, I'm still happy to throw my hat into the ring with a Tech-Guard list at some point.

For those who want to do Titans... I demand ya'll think about having different Titan configs with other Imperial army lists this time around!
