You know, whenever people start talking about how big a model of X or Y would be at Epic scale, I just can't help but think that most of the time they wouldn't be nearly as big as a 40k Land Raider. And that isn't even the biggest thing I've seen on a tabletop.

The Imperator would be smaller than a 40k Monolith, I'd guess, meaning that it wouldn't be too unwieldy. However, good luck fitting it on a 60mm base (the largest base allowed in the rules), considering the current imperator doesn't even fit on one.

I used a CD as my base ...  And my I-Titan is about 120mm tall ...

I dug out and re-painted my old Imperator just last week, and had been wondering what to do about a base. Reading L4's post above got me thinking. I think a full-size 120mm CD is a bit big even for an Imperator An 80mm mini CD-R, on the other hand, is perfect.

I had a couple of mini CD-Rs that I made a mistake on while recording but hadn't thrown out yet. So this afternoon, I put my Imperator on it. It's come out quite nicely.

The CD will give it balance on the game table as well ... It is a bit Top Heavy ... especially since the Carapace weapons I added are metal.  And I even weighted him down a bit by putting clay inside his Greaves ...

Ah, that would make sense.

For a regular, all-plastic Imperator, an 80mm CD seems to provide enough stability, and looks about the right size, too:

I can't find anything in the rules about a 60mm base being the maximum (or anything about maximum base sizes at all, except for infantry). Are you sure that's right?

My bad, it was something that got conflated in my head. There is a base size restriction, but only for infantry stands, and that is 40mm.

nevermind

That's a relief. Having just stuck an 80mm base on this titan, to discover that 60mm was the limit would have been rather annoying!

That looks good ... And the all plastic stock Imperator not that heavy ...

Just to muddy the waters ... how BIG would an Emperor Titan be in the new Tony's Titan Real Scale ? And how much would it cost ?

I always thought the Imperator was too big. If the other titans get a ~50% height increase then the Imperator at the current size would make a good step up and be reasonable based on the current weapons and DC.

So I think it could stay the same size at around £35-£40

Going to truescale is a 10% height increase, not 50%.

One of the most notable Titan Legions is the Ordo Sinister, a legion which only has 12 Titans, but all of them are Emperor Class.

I at least theoretically (if not practically!) wanted to allow the fielding of an Ordo Sinister themed army).

Emperors aren't as rare in the Imperium as they are in other area's after-all, hense why all the Chaos Legio lists I've worked on thus far have had 0-1 Emperors.
