AMTL - Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legion.
ATSKNF - And They Shall Know No Fear (Space Marine special rule)

In battle reports:

Here's what I typically use to abbreviate weapons, most of which are widely used:

PB = Plasma Blast Gun
IG = Inferno Gun
VMB = Vulcan Mega Bolter
TLD = Turbo Laser Destructor
CLP = Carapace Landing Pad
CAP = Corvus Assault Pod
PF = Power Fist
LB = Laser Burner
GB = Gatling Blaster
PC = Plasma Cannon
MC = Melta Cannon
VC = Volcano Cannon
PD = Plasma Destructor
QC = Quake Cannon

Oh yeah, and welcome aboard!

Well thank you very much :)

I think I'm going with the Reaver setup, now I just have to fine tune my idea..or actually figure out what I'm thinking about :(.

I often use two Reavers and two Warhound packs.

Any formations you recommend with that?  I might bring in a Thunderbolt Squadron with a few reavers and Warhounds and I want to hear from people with experience.

AMTL can't use Thunderhawks; You'll find the current edition of the army list most widely played here: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums/ ... 22;t=16206.
I'd suggest taking a look at it, figuring out a points costed army to your own tastes and taking it from there.

Thunderbolts yes, Thunderhawks no - they're Marine only aircraft.

After what he did to the Chaos codex, it will take a long time for me to actually like what he does.

Yeah, a tightly designed, straightforward army list without lots of needless and exploitable options and not exhibiting too much power creep. Not to mention the ability to take a proper Tzeentchian army that doesn't completely suck. What was he thinking? :whistle:

Can't give you any advice on the AMTL, I'm afraid. I've only just started mine, so I'll be interested to see what people suggest, too.

Don't go there, Gav Thorpe did not balance the codex, he made it unbalanced in another direction, removed any interesting fluff, removed restrictions for people, and basically made it Codex Black Legion.  I'm sorry, but people who look at older codexes past 3.5 and 3.0 will realize they don't want a bland and simplified codex when they want something that's good.  Also, you don't want a good Lord and lots of Chosen?  Alright, you now have 2 lash Princes, overpowered Obliterators, and 6 Land Raiders, while all your fast attack choices are comparibly useless to your troops and your Elites are the worst section in the entire codex next to the old heroes that seem to have never redesigned to be 5th edition useful.  Congratulations, all you did was bring down 5 Overpowered lists to 2 and now we have no flavor in being Chaos. Also, Thousand Sons went from sucking to being still underpowered, and their Rubric Marines are the worst of the Cult Choices to take.

Regardless, as I've said before, I'm planning on a Trio Reaver team with warhound and Thunderbolt support.  Can someone point me in the right direction with upgrades?  Legion name is Legio Ruina.

Hmmm doubtless the AMTL list document has been lost from the server in the big crash.

I'll update it in the morning.

I'm completely with you on Gav Thorpe.  For the chaos codex, for all his "Novels" and for the 3rd ed Eldar codex, lol.  Really, the man's just awful.

Anyway, back on topic, my Titan legion generally shapes up like this:

A warlord as BTS who will generally stride out as his own "Battlegroup", 2 Reavers - one of which guards my blitz and rains down destruction with 6 barrage point, indirect batteries, the other is equiped with a good mix of weapons, including a volcano cannon for war engine hunting.  My assault reaver is uaually escorted into the field by 2 independent wrhound fms but i will mix this up if required.  Air support and bonus activations come from 2 flights of thunderbolts.

It's a good fun list to use and incorporates a lot of different elements that are fun to use.  There's a differnt knack to getting the most out of scout titans like warhounds and mobile fortresses like Warlords and that keeps things interesting.  It's possibly not the most effective set-ups but i do enjoy using it which is all i could really want from the game.

I was thinking that as well, I just have to see what I can get out of the upgrades, I like the sound of a Trio hunting detachment of Reavers from an old Traitor Legion roving, among some other silly things.

Besides speed, an extra weapon slot, size, and amount of damage and void shields a Warlord has, what are other differences in it between having a Warlord, and another Reaver, or this King Reaver I keep seeing pop up.
