Yes, but nothing says do not touch like a titan with a laser burner or two. A warlord with 2 of them has 16 attacks in base contact hitting on 2's.

+4CC attacks hitting on 3+ and far more importantly +2FF attacks hitting on 3+ to support your fellow titans with? Its my prefered CC weapon, the CCW has the edge (used to) for BTS protection from terminators and the like. Now that is not an issue its Burners all the way.

The 3 Warlord list is different Hard harder both to kill your stuff and to win the game as with a minimum cost of 2325 for the Titans you have a mere 675 points for support. Say 2 thunderbolts, 1 sentinels and a Warhound, only 5 activation on the ground.

Sounds good, Which one works more friendly for newbs?

I like having more but I also like that more to be useful and thoughtfully equipped.

Both are harsh against new players as they tend to focus on models. Titan armies are mostly defeated by use of terrain and objective placement.

I'd have to say probably about the same to use as a noob since the activation count is pretty high for someone just starting and both deal with WE and Aircraft which can be a bit difficult to grasp when you are just starting out.

I'll stick to the Reaver scheme.

Reaver 1: Laser Burner , Turbolaser Destructor, Turbolaser Destructor: 650

Reaver 2: Laser Burner, Turbolaser Destructor, Turbolaser Destructor: 650

Reaver 3: Carapace landing pad, Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Apocalypse Missile Launcher:  625

Thunderbolt Squadron: 150

Warhound Pack: Inferno Gun/Vulcan megabolter, Inferno Gun/Vulcan megabolter: 500

Warhound: Plasma Blastgun, Vulcan Megabolter: 275

I like the idea of having alot of extra points with good CCW.

Now, I still have 150 pts now. I could take a Sentinel Squadron and 50 pts to evenly spread to the two Reavers to..I don't even know now.

your points are off, the reavers should be 625 not 650.

okay, 200 pts now, still the same issue applies.  Sentinels and easy choice but what do I want to upgrade?

well I'd take CML and a legate or two cml, or a legate and maybe upgrade the apoc reaver to a quake cannon.

Definitely go with a Legate. Even with the 1+ activation, I like having the Supreme Commander re-roll. I can't tell you how many times I've failed to activate or rally a Titan with blats markers.

A nasty, but expensive combination is 2 Quake Cannons and a CLP. Six BPs, MW, with indirect fire is nothing to sneeze at.

Well i have the points for that nasty combo, i did want a 2 man line crew with a kill it dead single.

A formation of sentinels are compulsory to guard your lonely Reaver at the back from horrible teleporters looking for the BTS.

Then its 100 points. You could for 50 points make a volcano cannon reaver, trouble is its useless verse many armies.

If you worry about blast markers 2 veteran princepts could flutter in. Or if you worry about airplanes two CML on the reavers adds firepower and AA.

Or you could go mad and have a support reaver with two barrage missile launchers and a las burner. Harder to be assaulted and spectacular barrages turns 1 and 2. Then twiddle thumbs
