Greetings all,

Here is something that I would like to toss out for discussion. :)

As I understand it, the sacred icon is an item that inspires near religious devotion to those who see it deployed in battle.

That being the case, I've been wondering if it would not be possible for a titan itself to be considered as a sacred icon. ?

Titans after all, are sometimes refered to in the fluff as God-Machines and are they considered to be avatar's of the Ominisiah. ?

In particular, the Imperator class titan would seem to be the perfect candidate to fulfill the role of sacred icon. ?

They are few in number, apparently can't ?be manufactured any longer, and many seem to date from the time when the Emperor, beloved by all, walked among men.

Sounds inspring to me. :)

Perhaps the Imperator and Warmonger merit having the sacred icon status added to thier stats as a matter of course.

As to Warlord and Reavers, I could see where under certain circumstances, a Titan Legion might have a titan of such ancient lineage that it ?too, might have achieved the status of a sacred object.

That being said, if such a titan were to be considered as a sacred icon for the purposes of game play, I would think the price to upgrade it to this level would need to be pretty expensive and there would also probably need to be a serious downside in terms of morale if such a venerable machine were to be lost in battle.

Certainly would be a major BTS in a game if it happened!

What do you think?

Regards

Hi guys,

sorry if this is a stupid question. Feel free to link me to what I'm after if it is elsewhere.

Why no knights in the lists? I see the Forge Knight, and in its fluff it mentions paladins, but no lisitng seems to exist in either the titan legion, or the skittarii lists.

Is there a reson for this (my epic fluff knowledge doesn't quite stretch to Titan legions etc so I may just be being ignorant here.)

Regards.

Jon.

The AMTL has them under Support Formations, six Knights for 400pts.

The Skitarii will get them in the next version too.

Hey C+E, (or E+C ;))

noticed these guys, but I was wondering if the varient Knights would appear? eg: paladin/Lancer/Errant etc.
Or have you just lumped them all into one catagory, (the forge Knight mentioned)

sorry if I am being really dense!

edit: sorry, just found the Knight list. My bad...
I always saw the knights as supporting titan legions but I see where you are going with these lists., Please ignore me.

Cheers.

Heh. :)

The split comes down to model availability, GW support (Or lack thereof) for the concept of Knights, and finally public votes (In which people said they only wanted one knight type in the list).

Can you clarify that?

How are generic Knights more available than any specific Knights?

Or are you assuming that people will use the plastic Paladins for Knights?

If the latter then why not call them Paladins instead of making up a generic name?
