(Hena @ Aug. 16 2006,08:25) QUOTE I ran to sleep and now I'm at office. ETA for next turn ~12-16 hours ![]() No hurry. This is going to be embarrassing ![]() Don't have any idea what I was thinking thorough that game. Adeptus Ministorum should have me shot for such a poor show of generalship. I blame it on both manticores failing to activate which kind of put me into backfoot as I had hoped for manticores to thin down those infantry swarms. Also having big bad bio titan lumbering toward my lines didn't exactly help either. Especially with my army voefully unprepared to face those. Small ones I could delay, fast ones are big big problem. However. That small bio-titan that was next to my lines was non-fearless one? If only I had realised that during the game(note to self. Next time check with your opponent what does what. Just because it's big-bad-bio-titan you would expect to be fearless does not mean it actually is) I might have had been able to deal with it more easily than trying to sustain fire with stupid baneblades who just aren't equipped to deal with 4+ RA monstorities. |

(Hena @ Aug. 16 2006,19:04) QUOTE Well what about this game then. I was suprised to see an IG infantry army. 4 infantry companies. Almost dread come true to nids really as the IG infantry company pretty much the ideal target for engage ![]() Actually pretty much against any other army IG isn't that bad in assault. Definetly against orks(and eldar if eldar can't dominate flow of battle too much) they can give it as well as other side. But bugs are bit of more problematic. Too fast, no BM's, no real weak point(poor FF for example) to exploit. |

Great report! 3. How does the crater work in epic? There no such terrain the the tables? We counted it as not difficult to vehicles and 4+ (or was it 5+) save. We've always counted craters as "Ruins/Rubble" terrain... easy for infantry to hide in, risky for vehicles to drive through. |

Oh and one reason to garrison so much: Deployment room! Too much infantry to cram into that 15cm wide zone...As I found out to my problems in 3rd round. I would have to move up out of that zone quick-quick or your artirelly barrage would have jolly good time at my bunched up troops. Against eldars I got barely away with it as he only had BP3 units and had to double up to be in range. |
