I have now played a few games using 7.1 and must say that I quite like the list. One thing me and my friend thought was odd last night was that killing a dominatrix is equal to killing a warrior brood in terms of victory conditions. We discussed whether damage capacity should count as units thus effectively making the dominatrix the tyranids BTS objective. I can see that there are two sides to this issue but I was just wondering if it is something that has been disscussed yet or not? |

How about making it based on points, so 'more than xx% of the synapse creatures total points cost must be killed to claim the BTS goal' |

We've always played it's number of units, and WE Synapse creatures count as their DC in units as WE normally do, but only if killed, just as it would be for a Great Gargant or such. I really field WE Synapse and, if I recall correctly, have only ever used the Dominatrix once... I'd much rather have more activiations than 1 big Supreme Commander. Fluff-wise, it makes sense to think that the death of a Dominatrix would break the Tyranid's "spirit", so I've got no problem with that. |

(Evil and Chaos @ Aug. 02 2006,13:13) QUOTE How about making it based on points, so 'more than xx% of the synapse creatures total points cost must be killed to claim the BTS goal' I like it based on models/units as it's easier to count in the heat of the end of a turn. |
