Looking over the Tyranid rules and list, I come across a couple of questions.

1. There are no space craft... how does this impact on Planetfall special abilities?

2. Swarms. The way that I understand it is that the Tyranid player sets his synapse creatures into 'synapse groups'. These are fixed and cannot then be changed. When play begins, a swarm then consists of this synapse group in the centre, along with all brood creatures within 15cm.

Is this correct? Can brood creatures be re-assigned to different swarms by positioning later in the game, or are they fixed to a specific synapse group?

PS: Can synapse creatures combine? If I have two swarms, one with a Hive Tyrant and some Tyranid Warriors, and one with just some Tyranid Warriors, can I combine these two swarms to make a single swarm during the game?

I don't think there's anything in the list with planetfall... and if there *is*, it's just for "completeness" sake and for future lists that might include spacecraft.

Nids are a space faring race.  They should have some sort of orbital support.  Even if it isn't the stanard pinpoint and orbital barrage type.

I'm sure other Phases/Lists will have some kind of orbital support.  In fact, I recommend adding planetfall to Harridans and Vituperators for future compatibility.

For those who missed it, I have been thinking of a third phase seeding swarm force... for about seven years!  :down:

Anyway, I have posted my thoughts and a list in the Epic Rules section (I didnt want to clutter official development here). I welcome comments and suggestions on this from all, as I am very interested in seeding swarm lists. If there are plans for eventual development of a seeding swarm list, then I would certainly like to be involved.

CS, the answers given are the correct ones, and I do have some ideas on Nid spacecraft and planetfall in my back pocket.

It seems since this is a Phase IV list JJ just may not let them 'get passed', though I am going to try and see what happens. Couldn't hurt.

FYI: I am going to try and finish up the v6.2 list tonight, the PDF version that looks nicer, and I hope to have it out by tommorrow. With a little luck maybe even tonight.
