I'm planning on (eventually) having a nid air armarda army, basically an army that consists soloy of gargoyles harridins and the odd Vituperator or two (and maybe some air dropped artillery support; LSNs and exocrines).
The Harridins will be converted from 40K gargoyles. Removing the forelimbs and trying to get some cannons to stick out of the wings.
However I'm not sure how to make the Vituperators. I'm thinking of using warriors, but I'm not sure what to use for the wings. The forgeworld warrior wings look cool. But its three sets and I'm not sure if I would ever use three Vituperators.
So does anyone have any ideas what I could use for wings that would look gribbly enough, and idea how to make them look less like 40K warrior models.

My main nid opponent built a Vituperator with one of the old Heirodule bodies and a set of wings from (iirc) a 40K Bloodthirster. They are a bit out of scale for the body, but the looks of the pieces mesh surprisingly well. The fur at the base of the wings actually works with the scale of the details on the rest of the model. I would suggest looking for wings with similar kinds of detailing, just smaller than the Bloodthirster.

Hi Rag and Gang,
I've tried a feww methods for making Vituperators:
- Add a Dominatrix head to a Harridan.
- Add a Dominatrix head to a Gargoyle...
- Use a proxy miniature from another company...
