Short and simple question:  How are the MSC actually used?  I know there purpose (+1D6 to spawning), but how do they get onto the board?

When I play with them they never go on the board (if I remember to bring the models  .  I normally have a pile of them (or a dice with the number of them I should have facing up).  When I use them the number of spores used get moved from the ready pile to the dead synpase/indepdat pile.

Now I'm going to ask a follow on question that I just thought of.

when do you declare when you are using spores?

1) When you declare the action (I'm going to marshall and deploy 2 mycetic spores)

2) Before you spawn. (Right I'm spawning I'll use 2 mycetic spores)

3) As you spawn. (Right I've only rolled a 1, I'll use another spore... Oh look another 1.  Right one more spore...Er how come this one has come up -1?)

Eric:  They're basically just counters.  I've asked repeatedly to have the references to various kinds of models removed because it's confusing and there is a constant stream of people asking the exact question you asked.

Rag:  We've always used #2, i.e. after the activation roll, but before spawning dice are rolled.

Well I'm playing like the rest of you.  So either we are all right or all wrong.:D

Actually this question was asked of JJ long ago when the v1.0 list came out, #2 is the correct answer.

Well it was back then at least :wow:

Jaldon :p
