But IG are (suppossed to be) the best artillery army in the game. You won't see many people asking for the IG CC values to be comparable to the 'Nids. I don't think the dacto should have a better range than the whirlwind. It is already superior due to having disrupt. Just as the Biovore is superiour to the Thudd Gun due to disrupt. I see the range as Dacto = whirlwind and Biovore = griffon. |

I think we should keep the ranges as they are. It reduces the risk that people might try building bio art heavy armies. Also (okay this isn't much of a reason) keeping the ranges low fits with the concept that bio weapons ranges arn't that good, due to the way they work.. |

I think the nid arty feels a lot better with the shorter ranges. I'm against any range increases. |

'Nids immunity to suppression also helps the bio-arty. |

As well, the Tyranids can garrison their two artillery brood creatures. I know you don't tend to play that way Hena, but even garrisoning them off your own Blitzkrieg can greatly increase their range without overexposure to the enemy. If they're going to be sustaining fire most of the game, what harm in placing them with a Synapse Node instead of Hive Tyrant? |

Well, you can garrison *starting* 15cm from an objective, so a couple of token Gaunts in an arty formation can allow you to garrison a fair bit ahead of your Blitz and extend the range of your bio-arty well out of the deployment zone. As well, if you're going to be sustaining fire with them, what does it matter if one unit has a 0cm move as the rest of the unit won't most likely be moving anyway. Sure there's "wiped out" in assault for 0cm units, but if your arty is getting assaulted it's probably going to die anyway. Garrisoning has been a great boon to me for 'Nids. |

I meant something more like this: Blitz -> 14.9cm -> Gaunt -> 5cm -> Gaunt -> 10 cm - Node + bio-arty --> enemy. So the Node and bio-arty are now 30cm from the baseline. |

Ah! Now I know why you were "poo-poo"ing garrisoning! *laugh* Well, the Hive Fleets like to share their tricks... good hunting! |
