Waiting with baited breath.  My first thought when I saw the list was Oh, an armoured fist army, all tanks and AVs.

Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.

I haven't worked out the points, so how many 'Stealers in your broods?

I look forward to the report!

Thanks for the battle report, Hena! ?Looks like you were facing a lot of firepower!

1. Hierodule. Could use 20cm move so that they work properly as meat shield for Dominatrix. Remove extra DC from barbed. It needs some extra ranged weaponry, don't know what though.

Well, maybe the Barbed needs 2 x Bio-cannons so it gets 4 MW5+ shots instead of just 2. ?The extra DC for them is instead of giving them 3+RA, as they are supposed to be "tougher" than Scythed. ?Not sure about the movement increase though, but the FW models do look quick on their claws! ?*laugh*

2. Bio titans. These need to be able to move through the forest etc properly. Perhaps something along the lines of Warlord.
Maybe you didn't notice in the current WIP, but Heirodules have agility so they are able to move through pretty much any terrain quite freely. ?Hydraphants, if they are based on the body of the Dominatrix, probably shouldn't have agility.

3. Ranges of Biovore and Dacto-Crine. The old ranges 45cm and 60cm would be quite useful. I would support using them instead of 30cm and 45cm. Atm unless the enemy advances one cannot keep the dactos in the back since range is too short.
Well, Dactos have the same range as Marine Whirlwinds, and, with a Synapse Node, can be garrisoned, so their range should reach most of the table. ?I feel that Biovores should be short ranged artillery, as they aren't the beasts they used to be in the old rules.

I do seem to garrison my broods a lot more than you do Hena, particularly using Lesser Nodes to be able to garrison any brood creatures.  Have you thought of giving it a try to see how the ranges and such feel?

Thanks again for the report! ?I'm in a rematch against those pesky Ultramarines tomorrow. ?Hope I can get a report together!

I don't count hierodule as bio titan. I count as bio titans hierophant, hydraphant and dominatrix (I haven't made up my mind about vituperator). Although now as there is only WE and not titan classification, this gets more complicated :8):. But I do think that these need to be atleast as maneuverable as Warlord (or Reaver) titan. I suggest you check them from section 5.4 (page 102).

Actually, I typo-ed, I meant the Hierophant has agility as well!

Quote (Hena @ 26 Nov. 2005 (07:08))
I don't want to restrict my first round movement, so I don't want to :D. Also It would require 100pts more.

Well, if  you're constantly deploying them with a Tyrant instead, you could *save* 50 points by using a Lesser Node and then have them  garrisoned anywhere on the board!  :)
