I was actually going to ask a similar question.

A long time ago I saw a wep site where they had conerted Raveners from a gargoyle, termagaunt and a hormagaunt. Does anyone have the URL?

Cheers Scott

For now we use Hormogaunts as Raveners

The Termagaunts are used as Hormogaunts

My Gargoyles are never used (No flyers) so they are the Termagaunts

In my army all three are painted a different color so they are real easy to tell apart.

Hi Guys,

I've been using the following for RV:

- GW 40k plastic Ripper Swarms individually based
- Old GW metal Ripper Swarms individually based
- Old GW Necromunda Flapperjacks individually based
- D&D Clickies : Kruthik Hatchlings individually based
- Reaper Acid Beetles individually based
- GZG 6mm "Bio-bugs"
- 10mm (Maybe Pendraken?) "Aliens"

I have also made the following:

DISPOSABLE LITTLE TROOPS (different types of Gaunts):
- I bought a big bag of tiny plastic ants (Dollar Store, 99 Cent Store, etc.) and have them based on 1/2" and 3/4" fender washers.
(This is a good way to get past a Gaunt shortage for the time being.)

DISPOSABLE BIG TROOPS (Bigger, badder bugs...):
- - I bought a handfall of small plastic beetles of different makes and have them based on 3/4", 1" and 1&1/4" fender washers.
(This is a good way to get functional minis for the "Forgeworld" units for the time being.)

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Maksim, I like the plastic ants idea :8):

To steal from Monty Python "Lop off their legs, simple cardboard stand for them to posture on, some green flock, a bit of paint, make a nice Ravener that would."

Off to the local "All A Dollar" this weekend in search of plastic ants we go! (I even know the ones your talking about, I've seen em and never made the connection, doh)

Markconz/Legion4: You don't really think I am able to put together rational thoughts at my advanced age do you

Reason: I never bought Harridans way back when, and have gotten used to doing without them now, and haven't really planned on getting any. BUT if the mini is produced, and it looks really cool, well then, of course I will get a few  :D

I did the same thing with my Grotz, they are painted bright orange. It makes it easier for old farts like us to tell where they are on the battlefield :alien:

Ah yes, I'm going to use 10mm Pendraken "Aliens" in my 'Nid Army too, M/S ! :D    Rational or not, :;): I have an E40K Harridan, 2 different old Space Fleet "Flying" Bugs and a F/W 6mm Harridan too, all SIB ... :(  The F/W version is pretty nice and still available, but very $$$ ! :o0    This being old is getting ... well ... old !
