I have been attending
Giant Fanatic 16 (2014) in Copenhagen, where we had a small Epic tournament using the NetEA armylists.
In all I played four games and placed somewhere in the middle of the field, which as much as I could have hoped for.
It took a while, and a lot of commutes with the laptop, to do this write up.
Enjoy

It was not made easier by games ending early due to time constraints. I'm probably just as much the one to blame here, as any of my opponents.
AA failed big time on my dominatrix, but at least opponents still tend to think twice before entering the AA bobble.
A lot of unfortunate armor rolls on my bigger bugs... Except on my dominatrix in the battle against Tau.
Tyranids, at least the way I play them, tend to depend a little too much on cover, and therefore the table setup, for effectiveness.
Swarming feels "niddy", where as retreat combined with "reactive engagements", where you slowly grind your opponents army down, feels more like the strategy employed by Stalin's Red Army in the first half of WW2.
All in all a nice event, where I got some games in, met new people, experienced new armies and last, but not least, got to know my "bugs" a little more.
Thanks to SpeakerToMachines for putting in the effort to arrange this event.
