Let's hypothesise that GW were about to release a new Epic scale, modern-style, multipart Carnifex, with two different weapon options; Two sets of scything talons or two sets of devourers. What sort of ratio would you be interested in seeing them package them in? Entirely hypothetically of course...

hypothetically I'd be a little interested in a Scythe/Strangler option, but i've always thought devourers on carnifii looked goofy. personally though, I'd probably just use scythes, because as a 2nd ed player, that to me is what a carnifex is. |

That would entirely depend on how good the unit type is written in their rules. i.e is one going to get more use or are they equallu useful in game terms

Hypothetically, you could proxy a shooty/firefighty Carnifex as a shooty/firefighty bio-tank. |

Would it be too many wasted components for GW to pack two sets of each weapon per 'fex?

all scythes, cus like the guy above said, thats what a real fex always was. plus they can put all the guns on the upgrade sprue (separate) and 3:1 Scythed to Devoure at the worst. besides, living BATTERING RAMS dont have guns on them for a reason. on a side note, who/when/is?, proxy going to start making any armored fish tanks? its the only thing stopping me from supporting the blue communists. |
