So, I have been planning to build some Bio-Titans for my 'nid army, but I am a bit confused now. Which is the bigger Titan, the Hierophant or the Hydraphant?

I have read in several different places that each is the biggest. The scale of the Hierophant in 40k puts it at over 11 in tall (about 2.5" [64mm] converted to 6mm) which is the size of a MK I Warlord (minus Aerials). The Data I have read for the Hydraphant says it is as tall as a Warlord Titan.

Secondly, is there any concept art out there for a Vituperator, or has no one survived mentally intact after witnessing one on their planet?

I believe the Hydraphant (from what I remember) is the big daddy of them all.

Here is the Vit you are looking for:

Nope, that's a normal Harridan. The OOP one that used to be made by Forgeworld, in fact.

The Vituperator was an Epic-only concept unit, and it never had any models or concept artwork made.

If you want one, you have to make your own.

Ah!

That is what I get for using proxies and using 'count as' models such as the above :P

I was under the impression that the hydraphant was basically a dominatrix without the throne deallie. That would at least allow people to use the glut of dominatrixes that were available.

That would be correct the Hydraphant, when it was concieved of by JJ, was just a Dominatrix without the 'Attached' synapse creature in the 'throne' of the model

The Vit has never been created as a model, that I am aware of, nor has the ravener in Epic scale either, mostly they have been proxies. All must rememeber that I have also been out of the loop for some time (Sorry to say) so I would not be surprised to find out I have missed a thing or two here.

So just my two cents here

I think the FW Harridan works perfectly as a Vituperator, especially when fielded along with the GW Harridans.

In addition usually people use the metal Hierodule model as the epic Hierophant and the metal Hierophant model as the Hydraphant with 40k gaunts as the Hierodule (they're closer to the FW 40k model look if a little big in epic scale).

OK,

I found a forum post on another board that breaks it down this way:

When the Barbed/ Scythed Hierodule and the Hydraphant were introduced, the Hierophant Model became the Hydraphant, the Hierodule Model became the Hierophant and the Barbed/Scythed got new models.

That is the solution to this quandry, so the Hydraphant is the biggie.

Of course there is a great deal of variation within the species: I tend to like the idea of using my Starship Troopers infiltrator bug as an Eldar-inspired Hydraphant.
