I think the fundamental difference between E&C's list and Chroma's is that the 4 Assault Spawn (Malefactor, Haruspex, Exocrine, Dactylis) are merged into the carnifex genus while Chroma has kept them separate (as per the speculative connection in 40k putting some of them in the Trygon genus)

Without any official recent information it's hard to know if any of the Assault spawn have been phased out. Here's hoping the 40k Tyranid codex released next Feb or so has some more useful information or accomapnying apocalypse datasheets so we at least know what exists.

The second major problem with E&C's list is he's still building the models so counts as and scratchbuilds are needed. Chromas list is only missing the Vituperator, Ravener and Broodlord models.

It is not "Chroma's" list, it is the ERC list.

So E&C's Hive Fleet Leviathan list v1.03 (Following more closely to 40k) I assume stands to change more than the NetEA Tyranid list 9.2.1 if any major changes occur in the upcoming 40k Tyranid codex.

I know everything is speculation but what happens if Assault Spawn make an appearance in 40k, for example the Trygon has biomorphs and weapons with familiar named builds.

As a variant list, the Leviathan has the luxury of being a bit more mutable than the NetEA list, if only for the simple reason that it cannot be finished until the NetEA list itself is finished.
