Nightspinners can be supressed, they are broken after one kill and they cannot have anything more with their formation.

I understand that marines are masters of optimising things, and they have 4 BP artilleries, and other races have 3/6/9BP etc artilleries shows marines skill in battle. Why should nids have 4BP disrupt artillery, when no other (okay almost...) can?

We should care what can be made with a plastic boxed set.

I spent silly ammounts of money to buy my Tyranids, but I wouldn't force any consequent restrictions upon future players because of that.

An ameleorating factor is to use 4 or 5 models per base, but then it doesn't look very swarmy.

This is three-four models per base... still looks "swarmy" to me!  :)

As I said. So far no one has been able to show that the Dactylis swarm is too good.

I've playtested with and against them many times.  They are too good at what they do for tyranids.

They can't be suppressed, they spawn back, 90cm range and disrupt. Shooting ability that is as good or better than any arty in the game, and it's bugs. It doesn't feel right, and it is a heck of a lot of power in a small number of bug units.

3 as an independent brood would be much better in terms of suiting the character of the army IMO.

200pts for BP4 with 60cm when firing indirect is overly-cheap.

I'm in agreement with Hena here. They are not as good as they are made out to be, yes they can do damage at range, but they need protection and this bumps up the cost.
