I haven't had trouble getting the Haruspex into CC with 20cm. When they get there they more than make up for their lack of attacks in comparision to the Malfactor. They've played hacky sack with some guard tanks quite a few times.

Shouldn't the Harrassment Swarm not be one Harridan and 0-4 Gargyoles? Because the Harridan can only "transport" up to 20 Gargyoles (4 bases in Epic)?
In fluff it is guessed that Gargoyles dan't fly long distances and thus cling to Harridans which are rumored to not be able to land anyway.

I guess the additional gargoyles can be used to create a "flying" swarm. A Harridan surrounded by hordes of gargoyles. I find it justified, although I do not see the use for it, since it eats up your independent points.

On the other hand, I love using ONE gargoyle to make the Harridan tougher to break.

I didn't think it warranted an new thread, but I wanted a quick clarification -- the current Spawning rule is as follows:

"Spawning allows Brood creatures to return to play. After a Synapse Swarm regroups or takes a rally roll, it may attempt to spawn."

Does this imply that multiple spawns can be done in a single turn for a Synapse Swarm?  For example, a large formation takes a Marshall action, regroups, and has a blast marker left.  They then Spawn after regrouping, and at the end of the round, they take their Rally roll, and then Spawn again?

Yes, under this revision units are able to spawn when taking a regroup action AND in the end phase (whether they have blast markers or not).

Quick question: the army list says "No more than one third of the army’s points may be spent on Bio-Titan units."

But what exactly are Bio-Titans ?

I've counted 4 : Dominatrix, Vituperator, Hierophant, Hydraphant. But aren't Hierodules Bio-Titans either? And Harridans? Trygons?

More importantly, why does this restriction exists? I think there are enough restrictions as it is (1/3 Synapse, 1/3 Independant, 1 uncommon group per 2 common group) and list composition is hard enough that we may get rid of this... no?

Upon reading the rules, I notice this for the Dominatrix and other WE:

Code Sample:
May step over units and impassable terrain that are lower than the [insert war engine here] abdomen and up to 2cm wide

Don't people think it is important to get away from this subjectivity and make it a size tall rather than the abdomen. I daresay I will sculpt some long spindly legs on my WEs to make sure they can step over titans!

Surely this has been discussed before?

Problem is that without it the list allows spamming with titan grade WEs. That same restriction is pretty universal in Epic lists. That was one of the reasons I wondered if the 1 synapse per 2 common and 1 independent per 2 common would work. This would remove two % type limits.

Well, since the Dominatrix and Vituperator on the one hand and the Harridan and Hierophant on the other belong to the same groups (Synapse and Independant respectively) and that there already are limitarions on both groups (1/3 of the army), I don't think there's much of a risk of WE spamming.

The "no more that 1/3 on Bio-Titans" limitation means that it's impossible to take 1 Dominatrix and 2 Hierophants in the same army (1050 points), for example.  :glare:

I'd rather have an army list that doesn't require a maths degree, please.  :p

Sounds like a good idea. E&C has done something similar for the War Gryphons list.

Well I am going to start the modeling. What do people think?

Is it legal if I make sure it has 3 different colors of paint?

I am taking orders for these now. 5 only will ever be made   :blues:

It's got to be £7.50 for 3, so you need to buy two!

Sorry, it's Patented and I am prevented from telling people how to make it.

The first release should be May 2010.  :(
