Yep - the spawning is fine as is. As for the nexus group, I plan to try the idea of dropping the +2 when the Tyrant dies in my next battles (later in April).

As for numbers and 'hordeyness' - well I have managed to field just shy of 100 stands in a 2K battle - 4 big warrior led termie/hormie swarms (70 odd gaunts) plus some genestealers - only 5 activations but it kicked butt!.

I prefer to think of what you see on the table as just the beginnings of the bug tide rather than the complete force - spawning adds huge amounts of flavour to the army and is 99% there in terms of game balance (nexus swarm aside).

The main lesson with spawning is to take plenty of spores with you to aid spawning because once you are close to the enemy you need that extra d3 when you can get it!
