Only solution could be that they automatically remove all BM in the end phase.

No, they'd make their initiative test as normal.

If they pass, they remove half and are allowed to spawn.

If they fail, they fail.

So would BM be capped at the number of models left in the brood?

Just to stop the silly situations where a single stand of warriors is running around with half a dozen or so BMs.

Do you feel we'd need to start adding leader to Synapse creatures as, unless it's just 1BM, the Tyranids will never be able to clear them between turns... well, except the Dominatrix.  *laugh*

It *should* be difficult to clear Tyranid infestation from areas, but, of course, the question is: how to make it fun for an opponent in a wargame to do that?

In my current experience, "Unstoppable" had not been "unbeatable", but new insights from other players into strategies/approaches that "older" Tyranids players may have missed is a welcome thing.   I just wish more of the Tyranid players *and* opponents posted here!

Making an army fun for both the player and his opponent is always challenging, but is a worthy goal. After all what fun is it to have a great and powerful army that nobody wants to play against.

The goal is to keep the flavor of the army and its characteristics while still being enjoyable to the opponents. Occasionally you want an opponent to be able to feel the rush of excitement from stopping an unstoppable army.

New players do bring fresh insight into army lists. Hopefully these new insights will help reveal problems and potential abuses so this list can move forward.

We will keep test results and strategies coming.

I really like the army and a lot of good work has gone into it.

I finally played with Tyranids against IG (see report HERE) and never felt that the Unstoppable rule gave me an unfair advantage.

It does make Tyranids different and certainly hard to beat, but it does not make them invincible. I think it's best to leave it as it is and find some other ways to change the list if it is deemed too powerful.

Yeah that'd probably be sensible.

Possibly so!

All Synapse except Warriors would probably get Leader.
