Did I also mention they are a tad overpowered?

Not overpowered, underpriced... *laugh*

And that would be a massive Horde vs Swarm fight!  A single blastmarker on the Siegers though, and a couple of Lictors are going to co-mingle a *lot* of them...

Heck, would there even be room on a 4x6 battlefield to play this out?  *laugh*

What about snipers?  My understanding is that you could allocate all of the hits to the same target, so 4 Pathfinders could sit in their Devilfish before jumping forwards, unloading, and pumping 8 5+ shots into the Warriors, who save on a 5+.  The same could be done, albeit less efficiently, with Rangers, and the Guard can add Snipers to all of their formations.

Also, where's this 2 Warrior thing coming from?  When I check the nid list from the 6.22 post a bit below this one, I only see an option for 3 Warrior groups.

I think that means 6 warriors - 2 groups of three.

The "Two Warrior Group 100 points" was something Jaldon had proposed as a new Synapse option and I was just testing it to its extreme conclusion.

As to snipers.  I don't know many people that max out or even moderately use sniper units in their "tournament" armies.  Certainly if you knew ahead of time that you were going to face the Termagant Terror you might max out your sniper units, but most "normal" armies won't be set up that way, and the Terror is going to devour them.

I can't think of a non-"extreme" list that can face the Terror.  Conceptually and fluff-wise, the Termagant Terror is complelely plausible, but from a gaming perspective it's totally out of control in the Grand Tournament environment.

Though I am hoping to test it against OGBM on the weekend...

Chroma,

I think you've brought some attention to something I ironically just mentioned to Hena and Jaldon. I really didn't think the list was to that point yet, but - your argument and bat reps are compelling.

Hmm... looking forward to seeing what Jaldon thinks about all this.

Normal siegemasters would be tough for the unit count and firepower. My tourney army has 100+ units, lots in heavy cover and is backed up with 12-15 artillary pieices.

But with the lower SR that Siegers have, I'd be much more willing to perform Turn 1 Lictor strikes against that artillery, cover or not... and that's gonna spread blast markers around...

If I had the 250 stand of infantry required (well, I probably actually do, though not all based yet), I'd give it a whirl.

Chris, could you post your "usual" 2700 Siegemaster list?  Of course, you've admitted they're a little over the top to begin with as well.  Though it's obviously a discussion for another time, what kind of changes are you thinking of doing?

Chroma, could you try that with 15 point termagant? But with 2 warriors groups. Would give some more indication whether the amount of activations is a problem. Probably is, but would be nice to try.

Edit: Or alternatively FF6+ 10 point termagant. But IMO FF5+ is better even if it's 15 points.

I'll give it a whirl at 15 points this weekend if I have the chance.

As well, I strenuously believe that Termagants should remain at  FF5+ as that is, basically, what they're for, cheap, short-range shooting, and they are quite capable of doing it in 40k.

My money is on 15 point Termagants and 2 TWs still being able to perform the same tactics and strategies as the previous TT armies.  Swarms will just be a little smaller ~11 termagants each instead of ~16.

Those smaller swarms make all the difference, as well, I'll be trying it with 3-Warrior groups.  I think the twin-Warrior group is just too good for the cheap activations.
