For easy reference and starting point for the stats of new weapons i implemented the new and revised weapons from the current Codex Tyranids in the WhES (Warhammer40k to Epic System).

I see there is a fair amount of variation between existing epic stats, 40k current stats and your equivalents. Rupture Cannon at 45cm, maybe pushing it a little bit there. Same with the Impaler Cannon.

Also to note that the Stinger Salvo and Cluster Spines are also old Titan weapons.

How would you go about taking your equivalent stats and applying them to an epic stand. For instance the Rupture Cannon is mounted on a single model while the Impaler Cannon would be 3-5 to a stand (as Hive Guard would be LV).

Rupture Cannon is 48" in WH40k. Same range as a Lascannon which also is 45cm in Epic. The Impaler Cannon has an increased range in Epic for the same reasons as the Demolisher Cannon.

Adding the Rupture Cannon to an Epic Tyrannonfex is easy. Just use these stats.

The Impaler Cannon is a bit trickier but just look at Eldar Dark Reapers. Here we have 3-5 Reaper Missile Launcher yet the Epic unit has only 2 shots.
In the WhES the Reaper Missile Launcher has only AP6+ but in Swordwind it has AP5+.

So using this reasoning a unit of Hiveguard would have 2 x 30cm AP4+/AT4+ no LoS.

You are indeed right on the Rupture Cannon, I just had the feeling that the Lascannon/Missile Launcher were longer ranged in 40k. Hive Guard then would be quite evil.

Generally 40k AT weapons are treated as individual weapons in E:A so in that case why does Twin-Linking have a bigger effect than more shots. (Multi-Shot weapons are abstracted somewhat but in this case it doesn't make much sense). The Lascannon is AT5+ and Twin-Linking makes that AT4+. Why is that applied when clearly 2 shots is better than Twin-Linking. Essentially why does the Rupture Cannon with higher S and twice the shots of a Lascannon against vehicles come out as AT5+. I am aware this would lead down a slippery slope for Bio-Cannons as they have a lot of Lascannon class shots. Are there any high ROF 40k tankbuster weapons like Bio-Cannons that appear downgraded in their AT stat.

Well the WhES works under the assumption that a Wh40k weapon needs at least 6+ shots to justify a second shot in Epic (see Frestorm Scatter Laser which is a Heavy 6 weapon and has 2 shots in Swordwind, Scatter Laser is Haevy 4 but only fires once in Swordwind). I assumed, in order to have a ranged shot in Epic, that a weapon needs at least to be Heavy/Assault 3+ or to have a blast template. Heavy/Assault 2 is possible with a reduction in AP-capability as seen on the Autocannon: with 3 shots it would be AP4+/AT6+ instead of AP5+/AT6+ (which also explains the weak AP value on the Rupture Cannon). Doubling the minimum requirment led to 6+ shots for a second shot in Epic.
But perhabs i revise that because there isn't a 5-shot weapon in Wh40k which has a official representation in Epic. But there is the Vulcan-Megabolter (Heavy 15) which has 4 shots in the Epic Rulebook (3 currently in the WhES).

BTW: Spotted anerror int he Containment Spines. Should be 3 x AP5+ shots not 2 x AP5+. And i noticed the range of several 15cm weapons is wrong and shoulf be 30cm.

I uploaded the updated Version 1.1 in the first posting.

I also assume the weapon range needs to be a 40k 18" or higher for Epic shots(Fleshborer Hive).

It's obviously a tricky translation from 40k to Epic and as you say it's a starting point. I do think the combined AP/AT firing stat has negative consequences for the way you do your translation and the interaction with AT type weapons. AT Weapons appear to be mapped almost 1 to 1 in shot terms from 40k to Epic but many to 1 on AP weapons.

As regards designing weapon stats for Epic, Jervis once advised (paraphrased) : "Don't crunch numbers too much, that way lies madness".

Good advice, that.

Correct.

All variables form a list of roughly 2 pages.
