I think it was the combination of what ended up in the brood.. The dominatrix packs 2 Bio-Cannons and a Warp Blast, the trygons managed to get into range with the bio-electric fields, 2 more bio-cannons from the exocrines, and warp blasts from the zoanthropes. This combined with great rolling from the Nid's and me managing to fail all saves on a 4+ (I think they where all 1's and 2's) combined to be my downfall.
I don't think any particular unit fires too well, it was just a combination of units and the dice gods playing their nasty games with me!! ?Just shows you can't be too complacent with your BTS....

Lightbringer will be able to confirm but I think he was using:
Exocrine ?B? (Exocrine)
Type /Speed /Armor /Close Combat /Firefight
AV /15cm /4+ /5+ /5+
Weapons /Range /Firepower /Notes
- Bio Cannon 2x45cm / AP3+/AT4+ / Ignore Cover
- Big Claws /Base Contact /MW /CC weapon +1 attacks
Spore Cysts /(15cm) /small arms
Notes: Walker, Brood (5)
He was using the 7.1 list with suggested updates. He should be back onlone tomorrow to confirm.

Hi Hena
Yep the stats Orkybob posted are the ones I used for this battle. His AMHC were standing and firing at me whilst I moved up the board intent on bringing down the Dominatrix so by the time turn 3 ended I was within 15cm of most of his hammerheads. I did roll spectacularly well with my point blank sustain and Orky's saves were dire.
My thinking is that if you let a bunch of Exocrines and Zoanthropes plus a Dominatrix get that close then you are in trouble whether they sustain at you or assault.
The more I think about it though the more I think I should have assaulted.

The hormies are just skull white undercoat with 2 coats of purple ink then tenticle pink drybrush -their claws are chaos black.
