Thanks for the correction. I did mean E:A would be dead. We all know that Epic will survive.

How depressinig it this thread?

Epic A. is IMHO by far the best table top system I have seen. It is such a sham that GW don't appreciate that and hype it a little in the stores.

I'm fortunate enough that Warhammer World in Nottingham is my local, and I was thoroughly dischuffed that it took the store more than 6 months to put any Epic Figures in the store cabinets when EA was released.

My heart goes out to Jervis, there's only so much he can do without the support of the company.

Scott

Well as I have said, when G/W kills Epic, we'll keep it alive here, regardless.  With all the Epic (9+ armies), I've collected since '90, if G/W-S/G-F/W never releases another thing (and I think after F/Orks are released early in '06, it's questionable if we'll see anything else !), I have enough to keep me busy for years.  And again, there are other 6mm models out there - GZG, Adler, GHQ, Scotia, etc., etc. ...  At this point ... I don't think we need G/W as much as some may believe !  :;):

I haven't personally heard from Jervis in quite some time now. That poor guy must be under a lot of stress and pressure with the carpet constantly getting pulled from under his feet.

'There goes Jervis' is something which sadly might well happen soon, judging by the above... :( :( :(

I think it's safe to say that if Jervis leaves GW, Epic is dead. ?

Hi!

Its already dead, its just a matter of time before Jervis realizes all the obstacles put in his way and throws his hands up in dispear....

Well EpicA at any rate.
Still at least there's NetEpic to keep the flame going. I might even have to dip my toes into the NetEpic waters if SG the trend on support for EpicA continues at current trends....
Cheers

Hi!

You can at least be sure NetEpic will be around, as always, and with cool stuff like NetEpic gold in the pipeline you'll get a great color rulebook soon too. ?:D

Hi Guys (...and Girls!),

I knew that naysaying and negativism was coming when I levelled with everyone.

I think it's very important to keep our shoulders up and our attitudes positive until we know otherwise.

The fat lady has not sung yet... :p

E-A is still afloat the last time I looked...

Jervis has been good to us and if anyone is pulling for us, it's him.

Let's not make this into something negative.

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

its hard not to, I usually think positive about Jervis and Negative about GW, but really Jervis should atleast be keeping in contact with his champions even if he cant support the game with figures and printed publications right now he could at least keep up his support and coraspondence with those who are helping to develope the army lists. Just my two cents.

Hi Guys,

I just dropped Jervis a line.

Undoubtedly though, his E-mail box is overstuffed with fanboy missives.

I try not to E-mail him unless I have a good reason.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I agree Maksim, he must be very busy. No need to consult him over everything.

We know that feral orks etc are released in February 06, and other lists later on. The final Chaos lists are almost done. We have plenty of time to test this tyranid list and that is a good thing.

What I really want is to have the experimental rules updated... they are still the October '04 version in the vault. Unfortunately Greg seems to be MIA.  The experimental rules make a big difference to playtesting.  For example I wonder how many people are using the experimental assault rules? I think most 'old timers' (from the old SG epic forum) are using all the experimental rules, but I don't know how many of the newer players are.
