Sorry for the delay in posting this. I am very pleased to announce the winners for the 2006 Epic Painting Competition: EpiComp06.

Single Titan
Chaos Titan - firestorm40k

Single Unit
Ordinatus Krieg - Warmaster Nice

Battleforce
Eldar Alaitoc - Warmaster Nice

Since Warmaster Nice is the winner of two categories, he has kindly stated that he will split the prizes with the runners up in these two categories.

Therefore, kudos also go to:

Who receives the Grey Knight Marines from Forge World.

Battleforce
Iyanden - mageboltrat

Who is awarded a pack of Forge World Aircraft for Aeronautica Imperialis.

Well done to all who participated. Start warming up the brushes for this years competition!

Congratulations to all and sundry.

I found the voting on the battleforce to be especially painful.  They were fabulous all around.

Wooohoooo.... well done Warmaster and thanks a lot :)

that will be another pack of Hellblades for me if possible? Now how to paint my chaos. I could do them as iron warriors, and do a small iron warrior army when all the new chaos army comes out. Khorne, but thats a bit average... maybe Tzeentch, I could do a oilslick type design on them and then do a flick paint overcoat.

Hmm 3 Chaos Gods left...3 more Warlords to convert and 3 more chances to win the competition :D

Thanks all. Also congratulations to the other winners and a big thank you to all who participated in this year's competition. It is always immensely inspirational to see the quality stuff people submit every year.

Previous years we had the rule theat you could only win one prize and although it was ommitted this year it seemed like too good a tradition to waste. After all it is more fun with several winners (and a better incentive to surpass yourself every year too :D)

BTW Firestorm if you'd drop me a PM with your address I'll have your Adeptus Titanicus book in the mail in a jiffy

Congratulations to everyone and to WMN for his generosity in sharing his prizes.
There were some fantastic entries this year, thanks for participating  :)

And a big thanks goes to C/S also for running the comp!
As the organiser for the first Epic painting comp in 2003, I know how much work goes into it to make sure it is fair and enjoyable for all. ?Great to see it continuing and getting better each year.

So for two years running now I've been crash sailed to sea and didnt finish my entries   :(   - 2007 will be a year where I stop this disturbing habit and finally get my eye-candy in to share with everyone else!

Yes, congrats to WMN, Canucks Fan & Mageboltrat - very awesome work!!!

I must admit, I still can't get over being preferred over WMN's & Reaver's superb Titans in the first round of the Titan section... :O  But thank you to everyone that voted (gosh, I'm going to sound like Julia Roberts at the oscars if I carry on... )

WMN, I'll pm you with me address shortly, but as we're moving to France (Hopefully!) by the end of the month it'll probably be better sent there...

Anyway, well done everyone, this year's Comp was great, really setting a high standard for next years!  And thanks to Cybershadow for all his work running it.

Well done to all the winners, and everone else.

Outstanding models all round. I can't wait until next year, so I can lose against such wonders again.

Oh and BL, once you have done warlords for the three other major gods you still all the minor ones to do!

I've said it many times already, but its well worthy of being said again:
thanks from a veteran of silly painting in 6m for all the inspiration!

Great entrants & the hardest job voting to date.

Kudos to WMN for splitting the prizes - good man ;)

Congrats to all,
so WmN how does it feel to be the BESTEST Painter?   Kudos
Looking forward to later in the year when we can do it all over again, probably with even greater efforts.
Cheers CS

And I can't believe I voted for you, you git! ?:D

Seriously, you were a worthy winner - your Chaos Titan has that 'production model' look which is the real mark of a great conversion. I love it!

Congrats to all who entered, wherever you placed. It's great to see all those projects - so many ideas to steal... ? ?

Regards,
Reaver
