well My last entry is in (If I try to make anymore I will go peculiar  :confuse: ).

This stand of devasators was mainly done as a test bed for possible conversions of tactical marines.

On it I have bolt gun to plasma gun conversion (standing in front of the banner)

A bolt gun to las cannon conversion (next to the plasma gunner), complete with the back mounted power pack (out of shot)

And finally the guy in the middle is a reposed tac marine, with a banner and melta gun., though I have just noticed that I forgot to fill in where his bolt gun use to be  :blush: .

The other two marines are a normal missile launcher dude and a sheepish bolt gun marine, hiding behind the banner because he doesn't have a funky weapon  :laugh: .

A couple of points:

1) RH weapon system is a converted Forge World inferno gun.

2) Missile rack is from a despoiler.  I rejigged the mount so that it looks as if the rack can rotate.  I left the two lugs from the sprue and modifed them into a sensor system.

3) LH weapon is not a chaos mutation.  It is a grafted daemonic weapon grafted to the arm.  The manacle with runic inscription (somewhat a la Hellboy) binds it.

Also gives a reason why something so large could be wielded.  Mass and shape are not an issue due to its nature.  Also the 'ball' can be retracted.  Thinking about allowing a short ranged attack...anyone who has seen the anime series Escaflowne will get the idea.  Of course if used in this manner it would nor be available for close combat in the same turn.

4) A gorget bearing the chaos star protects the vulnerable torso.

I'll post a detailed how-to in my gallery as soon as the competition is closed (on Friday or this weekend). It's not too difficult, but it takes ages... ????
