Dominion TO&E's

There have ben many questions on the 3mm pack contents and just how model should be based in in what quantities, so I thought i'd deal with each set in turn.

First up, Elites Mechanised century (company)

A century is made up of three maniples (platoons), consisting of 3 x 60mm x 40mm infantry bases.

Each base represents a full maniple and has the following number of troops on each base.

2 x 10 man Affray rifle squads (2 fire teams of 5 men), think tactical squads for these.
1 x MHQ consisting of an HQ squad of up to 5 men and a 5 man heavy support weapons squad.

Maniple strength = 30

One Maniple stand will also contain an additional century HQ squad attached consisting of an Centurion, or Captain his SIC, company banner bearer and escort squad.

Strength = 5 to 10 men

So the century will consist of: 2 x maniple stands with 30 figures, and 1 x century HQ stand 35 to 40 figures , for a total strength of 95 to 100 men.

This set also contains enough Trojan APC's (10) to transport all three stands.

NOTES:

The century HQ can be signified by the single banner bearer.
There are 20 heavy weapons figures in the set but you only need 15 for the official organisation so there will be spares. I usually put 2 heavy MG, 2 lascannon and one other on each stand.

Transport:

For the fast play game the rules are written as if the APC's are also a part of each stand, in the picture below you will see i've based them separately. The full rule set will give you the option to have separate APC bases, once the troops have disembarked the APC bases would be removed from play.

Elites Affray century (company) on foot

1 x Drake tracked support weapons battery (2 tracks with 1 gunner each)
1 x Hammer close support bunker buster tank
1 x Gladiator walker

NOTES:

Gladiators:

You can mount one or two gladiator on each base, having two does not chance the base stats further. Alternatively mount all the gladiators on a 40mm x 40mm base as a Gladiator support Maniple instead.

So, maniple upgrades - these have to be modeled on each base that takes them rather than as additional bases? Only a full support maniple of upgrade units gets its own base?

Pretty much yes, maniple upgrades are modelled on the bases. Certain models such as gladiator can be combined to make a support maniple instead (additional stand 40mm x 40mm) Most support stands are 40 x 40's with a lesser number of figures on them this helps differentiate between main force bases and supporting bases. If you chose this option for the foot century above you would end up with 3 x Affray maniples on 60 x 40 bases and 1 x support Gladiator maniple on a 40 x 40 base. I will be publishing further guides as time permits.

Pack S1 contains a Cohort commander and various support maniples to re-inforce your Affray Century's.

Cohort command maniple, 1 x Princeps, or Colonel plus staff officers with a Battlemaster command tank on a 40 x 40 base.

2 x forefront support maniples on 40 x 40 bases.
Each maniple consists of 2 x 10 man forefront squads and a 5 man maniple HQ all with rocket packs.

1 x heavy siege armour maniple on a 40 x 40 base.
Maniple consists of 4 x 5 man siege armour squads and a 5 man maniple HQ squad.
An optional Striker heavy assault transport maniple to transport them in, 2 Strikers on a 40 x 40 base.

2 x Scorpion tank maniples, each consisting of 3 tanks on a 60 x 40 base.

Set S2 consists of transport upgrades for your century's.

3 x Mauler assault transport maniples, 3 60 x 40 bases with 3 Maulers each.
Enough to upgrade a mechanized century with IFV's.

2 x Trojan maniples with turret upgrades, 2 60 x 40 bases with three vehicles each.

2 x Striker maniples, 2 40 x 40 bases with two vehicles on each.

Total of 19 vehicles.

Set S3 consists of armour support maniples for your century's.

4 x Scorpion tank maniples, 3 Scorpions on 60 x 40 bases each.
You can also field 3 bases of Scorpions as a tank Century core formation instead, 2 x bases with three tanks and 1 x base with four tanks as the century HQ base.

2 x Hunter tank destroyer maniples, 2 60 x 40 bases each with three hunter tanks.

2 x Hailstorm rocket maniples, 2 60 x 40 bases each with three Hailstorm SP rocket tanks.

1 x optional anti-air missile turret upgrade.

Total of 24 vehicles.

Set S4 consists of tank support maniples, these maniples are availble to your battlegroup once a Cohort commander is fielded.

3 x Guardian tank maniples, 3 60 x 40 bases each with 3 Guardian tanks.
You can also field 3 bases of Guardians as a tank century core formation instead 2 x bases of three tanks and 1 x base with four tanks as the century HQ base.

1 x Sniper tank hunter maniple, 3 x Sniper tanks on a 60 x 40 base.

3 x Challenger super heavy tank maniples, 3 x 40 x 40 bases each with 1 super heavy tank model.
