Sounds interesting - id like any kind of weird stompy robots for converting to ad mech, but i doubt there would be much general demand. Still, if its cool enough a use can often be found!

It's indeed tricky since such units aren't really present in 40k/epic. However, there are plenty of alternate/scifi/pulp WWI/WWII games and settings that do have such units. Maybe it'll encourage those fans to explore 6mm warfare. But it's indeed a risky path to take. On the other hand, it does mean a possible means of moving Vanguard Miniatures a bit more into its own territory rather than purely being a proxy for that other big famous brand. But yeah, all depends on what they want regarding that of course. :)

Lets put it this way, the walker tank isn't a high priority yet, so don't expect them anytime soon, we'd still have plenty of other tanks, flyers, and what not to complete before exploring more 'exotic' stuff.

Ive seen a lot of people posting vanguard minis on the horizon wars forums, so yeah, might be a market for some WierdW2 stuff. Many of them are also trying to get old gearkrieg minis (which i believe are OOP now?) Maybe do a concept and ask them?

Speaking of Horizon Wars, can see share a few of those forum posts with me? I'm curious to see how Vanguard's stuff is received there. And speaking of 'outside stuff', maybe it wouldn't be too far-fetched for Vanguard to maybe collaborate with parties such as Horizon Wars or maybe even Polyversal. It could expose the mini's to new audiences.

As for Gearkrieg, I've got a feeling a lot of the existing Novan miniatures (especially the aircraft) would make great Gearkrieg proxies, especially since their aircraft game was in 1:285 scale, which is basically 6mm scale! :D Might not be that far-fetched to have some Novan walker tanks in there...

Best to just search horizon wars on facebook. Its an open group.

The writer - Robey Jenkins/Precinct Omega - used to post a bit here too. Troublemaker gets a shout out in the rulebook (and onslaught) but it obviously went to print before vanguard was set up.

German WWII styled mecha-walker...
Good...

Speaking of WWII stuff, how about making something looking like Messcherschmitts to fit Novan range? I know you have spitfire, but as you may alredy noticed I am a little freak when it comes to WWII German technology ;)

Hmm, just tossing some ideas regarding (alternate) WWII stuff:

Hmm, I'm really getting into Wolfenstein concept art now.

Handsome tank, it's a shame that only 35255+ other count as russ minis are available in the market these days.. Altough a lot of stuff is missing /doesn't exist, there are "popular" concepts, covered by many manufacturers.. Still, a nice one.

Bet you can't find five decent examples. Variants of the same thing don't count.

I'm a little bit disappointed from the Designs from the most manufacturers here in the forum. I know many guys here from the country who are want the anglo-british designs. Their are all looking very WW1 british tanks. A Leman Russ or proxies to buy is no problem to buy and not on high demand for me.

Why not new designs like plasmablast or when world war tanks why not germans. A panzer III, or Maus Tiger etc

Aircraft, why not Focke Wulf, Messerschmitt etc

With many hopes but in reality very sad to see all the british designs

Michael

I know your feeling. I also really like German designs and would love to see dieselpunkish German vehicles. There are a lot of great concept arts and endless possibilties.

I must say some Bradley Miniatures designs look similar to German tanks.

Valkyrie Chronicles vehicles looks very nice so they can give you some inspiration.

Seeing some Sdkfz look alikes in 6mm would be nice ;)

Preach it! I haven't been able to find that many decent Leman Russ standins. The reason I designed them in this shape is because it had to be recognizable (that was the briefing Vanguard have given me). More German inspired tanks might be a direction I'd like to explore for the 'traitor' Novans, but this of course all depends on Vanguard Miniatures' wishes and also on whether that would actually translate into sales (there's a big difference between posting that you like a design and actually buying that model).

Lets see what 2017 will bring! :D
