Gutbuster ball shot knocks down shields on titans when the template touches the base. Then if it touches the model itself it causes a hit.
Leviathans and Capital Imperialis have shields and no bases. To be clear, should these units be treated as titans also? I think the only alternative is that it will simply hit their shields without further damage since titans alone are specified in the text.

That is a great question. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you right away. Except to say that logically, the ball should cause a hit to a Praetorian it comes into contact with, especially since most Praetorians have more ground-level areas that can be hit. I would have no problem with allowing it. However, discuss this with your opponent before play if possible.
