Wow Mojarn...I've never really thought about it like that before.  I dont necessarily agree with all of it, but thats an insightful analysis.

Perhaps too in depth for GW to have come up with, and then NOT advertised it to all and sundry...

Yes, good evaluations ... basically they all needed therapy !  And of course ... "for everything good, there is something evil ... "  Yin and Yang ... etc. "Fascinating"  ???

I think none of them were 'evil' at the beginning and this is what I was trying to portray in the fiction. Every character has his own motivations and desires, everyone has a chink in his armour, a weakness and in the end all that happened was that the Chaos gods exploited it. Had the gods not been there the Heresy would still have happened.

And yep - I think Rick Priestly came up with the original fluff, he is the brains behind the background.
