Quote (Chris @ 29 2003 Oct.,19:45) | As for the best model ever, in my view it is the Mk1 Beetleback Warlord Titan. That is one classic model! Other than that, perhaps the Hellbore? | The beetleback is very cool, and probably one of the most common of miniatures too.
But there is something just so cool about the old CI...

Indeed the CI is very good, and I am lucky enough to have one! Yay!
Also, what about the Mk1 Reaver? Everyone loves that!
Cheers

I couldn't possibly comment on any early versions of epic stuff, as I entered during Epic40K and the models that were released for that.
I do admit from comparing the warlord titan I have (new version) to the old beetleback you all talk about (that I've only seen on the web) that I prefer the newer version. I guess thats my mechwarrior side coming out though.

The Reaver is indeed a very cool figure.
I wonder if the new Phantom would beat the new Warhound for worst one?

They said a new CI was in the works, if they can get someone to sculpt it, IIRC ? ? I have one of the originals ... of course ...

They were 'put back', so the mini (and the rules) would not appear in the initial release, if memory serves me well.

Yeah, it was delayed until further notice rather than cancelled...so I guess EA will have to be successful initially at least for them to progress with a schedule and actually make the beast

Best Epic model? Hmm... FWs Warhound, the CI and the Mk1 or Mk3 Warlord are my particular favourites, as well as of course the original Reaver... pretty much anything by Jes Goodwin is superb tho...

The CI is still in the works, but being pushed back to another IG list and another suppliment (I think it will be the one after Swordwind)
That is also true for the Collosus, the IG lander. I think that is being put in the Elysian list...
Cheers
Chris

Hi!
I agree that the original reaver is probably one of the best models ever made for epic.
