Facebook is a genius idea when it comes to marketing. Love it or hate it, it'll dramatically increase sales.
Not entirely true, it's certainly a useful tool but you'll lose a lot of flexibility. It's great when you can meet demand and the goals you've set, but should some setback arise or should you decide to make giant robots rather than avian mercs for instance, you're risking having some bad press plastered all over your social media - perhaps even spread to people who didn't know you until you'd "broken your promise" (regardless as to whether you had even broken a promise in the first place, let alone explained it).
Do a bit of research into it, is there really that much of a customer base that uses facebook but isn't one the various forums and will your customers actually spread your business more than copy/pasting your design blogs to other forums? Answer could be yes, and it could be no.
Do you even need the increase in demand if it means long delays for casting and having to drastically increase stock levels in fill these without delays lasting over months? Thought you were already selling out the earlier waves as it is, and then ploughing the cash back into the business for subsequent waves.
The important message to take home after all of this is, when are the Avian mercs going to appear and how soon can you take my moneys?
